Róna, Gabriel, Jetela, and Pavlacký for the first time at Prague's Gracian.
Czech sculptures and paintings in the heart of Prague The Graciano Gallery cordially invites you to a representative sales exhibition of contemporary Czech sculpture and painting, marking its historic first exhibition premiere in Prague. The exhibition was ceremonially opened as part of the Prague Art Week festival and will continue for visitors until December 31, 2026. Following the extraordinary success of sculpture projects in Brno, we are transferring the energy of contemporary art to our Prague branch on Opletalova Street. The exhibition presents a dialogue among four prominent figures in the Czech art scene – from monumental sculptures to technological experiments and raw figurative painting. About the authors and the exhibition Jaroslav Róna Co-founder of the legendary group Tvrdohlaví, a painter and sculptor with a distinctive style. His works draw from archetypes, mythology, and monumental forms. His bronze sculptures bring deep symbolic tension into space and have become a permanent part of leading Czech and international collections. Michal Gabriel A leading Czech sculptor and experimenter who connects traditional sculptural craftsmanship with the possibilities of 3D digital technologies. Characteristic organic surfaces made from nutshells or pits and iconic animal and human bodies in bronze are among the peaks of contemporary Czech sculpture. Tomáš Jetela One of the most distinctive and original representatives of contemporary Czech figurative painting. On his canvases, he confidently combines expressive painting gestures with paper collage and assemblage, creating captivating psychological portraits with a distinctive, raw atmosphere. Martin Pavlacký A representative of the younger sculptural generation, excelling with an extraordinary sensitivity to materials, the purity of geometric forms, kinetics, and spatial dynamics.

On November 10, it will resonate in Bratislava at the Tipos Arena, and a day later, on November 11, it will also be performed in Prague at the O2 Universe, conducted by the person who has the closest relationship to it, the orchestra led by the famous composer’s son, Andrea Morricone. Interest in this extraordinary concert is high, and tickets are disappearing from sale at a dizzying pace. The opportunity to experience immortal film melodies live, performed by top musicians who personally collaborated with the Maestro, is becoming increasingly rare.

HALF-CENTURY IN GRAND STYLE: PRAGUE ZOO CELEBRATES ITS 95TH ANNIVERSARY

Traditionally, on Czech Statehood Day, Zoo Prague celebrates the anniversary of its opening – this time with the number 95! For Monday, September 28, the zoo has prepared a festive program in the presence of special guests. Costumes, historical vehicles, and stylish newsboys distributing period newspapers will transport the entire garden back to the 1930s. Interested visitors can have their hairstyles done for free in the style of that era and dance to the music of a live swing band. Visitors who arrive at the celebration in themed outfits will also receive a small gift. The program will also include presentations of new attractions and the opening of an exhibition celebrating 95 years of Zoo Prague. There will be popular sea lion training sessions, as well as commented feedings and meetings with the animals that were part of the beginnings of the Prague zoo: wolves, lions, and elephants.
