The theme of the 95th anniversary celebration will be, alongside history, the iconic Przewalski's horse. The Prague Zoo is also commemorating 15 years of the Wild Horse Return project, within which the zoo and its partners are reintroducing these hoofed animals into the wild in Central Asia. Symbolically, the year 2026 in the Chinese horoscope is in the sign of the Fire Horse. At the Gobi exhibit, the Ambassador of Mongolia to the Czech Republic and the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Czech Republic will speak about the significance of this world-renowned project. Representatives of the Czech Army will follow up on the challenges of transportation, while the program will be enriched by musical performances by Mongolian artists led by BadamaBolor.
Only on the day of the anniversary celebration will visitors to the zoo have a unique opportunity to purchase an exclusive souvenir released for the 95th anniversary of Zoo Prague.
The atmosphere of the 1930s will be brought to life alongside clothing and hairstyles by historical cars and a motorcycle with contemporary advertising, newsboys distributing newspapers, performances by the Sunny Swing Orchestra, and the ZIG-ZAG tap & swing Dance Studio, which will also offer a workshop on period dance. The rich program will also feature a fashion show presented by Aristokrat Vintage, musical performances by Ema Papšová,
interviews with witnesses, and the ceremonial opening of the photographic exhibition 95 Years of Zoo Prague, which will present key milestones in the history of the metropolitan zoo.
