Kunsthalle Prague presents the program for the year 2025.
In its third year of existence, Kunsthalle Praha welcomed again more than 100,000 visitors. It enters 2025 with the audience-successful exhibition Chiharu Shioty: Restless Souls and a plan for five more exhibitions. Among them will also be a showcase of the finalists of the Czech Grand Design annual awards with an authorial interpretation by the artistic duo SHOTBY.US. In three galleries of the architecturally acclaimed building, a number of artistic names will be presented to the Czech audience for the first time. The key exhibition will be "And Nothing Will Divide Us," the first joint presentation of Anna-Eva Bergman and Hans Hartung, a pioneering couple of abstract art from the first half of the 20th century. The internationally recognized artist Roman Ondak and the New York-based artistic duo Kristyna and Marek Milde will also have their Czech institutional premieres.
SIR HOTELS WILL OPEN THE FIRST CZECH BRANCH SIR PRAGUE
The Amsterdam hotel chain Sir Hotels proudly announces the opening of Sir Prague, the first branch of this brand in the Czech Republic, which will take place on March 17. The hotel is located in the vibrant Prague district of New Town, near the famous Dancing House and the Vltava River. Spread over five floors of a historic building on Náplavní Street, it will offer its future guests accommodation in 76 rooms.
Lisa Gerrard from Dead Can Dance and Jules Maxwell will bring the breathtaking show Burn to Prague.
"Her best album in many years," writes the website Louder Than War about the album Burn, which Lisa Gerrard (Dead Can Dance) recorded together with Irish composer Jules Maxwell. Both will now come to Prague to present this unique recording live and promise a sonically massive and visually breathtaking experience.
Erdogan Atalay's stage will be Prague. The actor from the popular Cobra 11 will meet fans and introduce a new comedy.
The 58-year-old German actor of Turkish descent, Erdogan Atalay, known to domestic audiences as the tireless and seemingly immortal Commissioner Semir Gerkhan from the popular series Cobra 11, is heading to Prague. He will present a new Czech comedy Without Underwear, in which he starred, and on Monday, February 3rd, at 4:00 PM, he will meet fans at the Cinema City Chodov during a "Meet and greet" event.
The farmer's markets Náplavka and Kubáň are kicking off a new season. Both markets will start on February 1st.
The first Prague farmers' market held outdoors this year, which welcomed customers in mid-January, was Heřmaňák. It is open regularly every Saturday at Řezáčovo Square in Prague 7. On Saturday, February 1, two more will join it – the Náplavka farmers' market in Prague 2 and the Kubáň farmers' market in Prague 10.

THE FIRST YOUNGSTER OF 2025 IS SITATUNGA
The first baby of 2025 was born at Prague Zoo. It is a West African sitatunga antelope. The new addition to the herd was born in the early morning hours and according to the keepers, it is doing well. The little female has become the 442nd offspring of this species at the Prague Zoo, which has been breeding West African sitatungas continuously since the 1960s.
The Three Kings on camels will pass through the historic center of Prague.
The Archdiocesan Charity Prague is organizing the traditional Three Kings Parade in the center of the capital city on Friday, January 3, 2025. The grand event will begin at 3 PM with a blessing at St. Thomas Church in Malá Strana and will culminate in an evening concert at Old Town Square.
PRAGUE ZOO WILL DELIGHT ANIMALS WITH CHRISTMAS TREES
On Monday and Tuesday, Prague Zoo will scent the Christmas trees. Thematic enrichment will be provided during special guided feedings for more than ten species of animals. For example, for elephants, bison, or porcupines, unsold conifers will be not only a treat but also great fun. Curious kea parrots will explore the trees, and our golden piglets, the African brush-tailed porcupines from the Dja Reserve, will also play with them.
Let It Roll Winter 2025: The winter edition of the world's largest drum & bass festival is returning to O2 Universum.
The main stars of this year's edition are heavyweights of the global drum & bass scene: CAMO & KROOKED & MEFJUS and HEDEX. But that's not all.
