British producer Harvey Causon will present his debut album in Prague.

British producer and singer Harvey Causon, one of the most interesting voices of the contemporary British electronic scene, is coming to Prague for the first time on April 25 to present his debut album Square Breath. The evening will open with the local audiovisual project Bariel AV, which recently released the album Life is One of the Hardest. Both artists share a sense of atmosphere, a desire for musical experimentation, and a deeply personal approach to creation.

New edition

Harvey Causon (UK) + Bariel AV (CZ)

April 25, 2025 | Nová spirála – Small Hall | 19:30

Harvey Causon, who broke through on the Bristol scene in 2018 with the single London Stock, quickly gained attention from media such as BBC Radio 1, 6 Music, NME, and Clash. He also caught the eye of Solar management, which represents names like Bonobo and Four Tet. His work blends minimalist electronics with intimate vocals and lyrics that explore the anxieties of the modern world. His current debut album Square Breath (2024), inspired by his own breathing rhythm, is both meditative and urgent – it connects ambient layers, distinctive beats, loops, and wind instruments into a personal and collective statement about today's uncertainties. Causon's sound will appeal to fans of Bonobo, The XX, Alfa Mist, or Jon Hopkins – as it combines deep emotionality with a dance feeling and precise production. The first single Psycho comments on the pressure in the music industry, while the entire album carries a message of openness, community, and the courage to create without compromises. Live, Causon presents an intense, atmospheric show, which he debuted this year at sold-out concerts at London's ICA and Rough Trade in Bristol. He will bring a complete setup to Prague, performing outside the UK for the very first time.

The evening will kick off with the audiovisual project Bariel AV, led by producer Jakub Baierl (YOGA collective, Méta Monde), who is currently releasing his debut album Life is One of the Hardest (Drip & Styl Records / Supraphon). His work oscillates between electronic pop, R&B, hyperpop, and the sound of analog synthesizers, with lyrics often written in real time. The emotional power of Bariel's tracks comes alive on stage thanks to the presence of guitarist Zdeněk Prokopec (Good Times Only), drummer Jacob Carl Růžička (Be4eight), and visuals by Roman Gordienko (Méta Monde). The result is an audiovisual performance that is as melancholic as it is liberating.
