Adam has a successful career, a happy family, and the respect of those around him. However, one video call with a sexual undertone turns his life upside down in just one afternoon. What begins as a private failure quickly transforms into a public trial, affecting not only him but also his closest ones. The film poses uncomfortable questions: How easily can we condemn someone without knowing their entire story? And can a single moment define an entire human life?
Psychological drama for the age of social media
CALL does not rely on flashy action scenes or cheap twists. The tension is primarily built through dialogue, emotions, and gradually revealed truths. The story unfolds almost in real-time, forcing the viewer to constantly reassess who is the victim, who is the perpetrator, and whether the truth is really as clear-cut as it seems at first glance. The film connects the experiences of the social media generation and their parents, opening up themes of trust, forgiveness, and the consequences of decisions that can change an entire life in a single day. Even before its Czech premiere, CALL was selected for the Toronto Lift-Off Film Festival and the Veneto International Film Festival (VIFF). It will hit theaters on September 17, 2026, distributed by Bontonfilm.
