Morricone conducts Morricone. Tickets for the exceptional concert in Prague are disappearing at an astonishing rate!

There are melodies where just a few initial notes can instantly conjure an entire film in front of your eyes. The music of Ennio Morricone has long transcended the boundaries of the movie screen. On November 10, it will resonate in Bratislava at the Tipos Arena, and a day later, on November 11, it will also be performed in Prague at the O2 Universe, conducted by the person who has the closest relationship to it, the orchestra led by the famous composer’s son, Andrea Morricone. Interest in this extraordinary concert is high, and tickets are disappearing from sale at a dizzying pace. The opportunity to experience immortal film melodies live, performed by top musicians who personally collaborated with the Maestro, is becoming increasingly rare.

When the son conducts the music of his father

Andrea Morricone is currently giving the ENNIO MORRICONE ORIGINAL CELEBRATION CONCERT a personal dimension. He is not only the son of one of the most famous film composers of all time, but also a conductor and composer who grew up with this music and today contributes to preserving his father's legacy.

Moreover, musicians who performed directly with Ennio Morricone will share the stage. This connection with the Maestro gives the Prague concert extraordinary authenticity.

A female voice that takes your breath away

Among the most beautiful moments of Morricone's music are those where a female voice joins the orchestra. In Prague, it will belong to the Italian soprano Vittoriana De Amicis, who regularly performed on Ennio Morricone's concert tours and enchanted the Czech audience during last year's Prague concert.

Melodies known to the whole world

During the evening, music from the films Once Upon a Time in the West, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, For a Few Dollars More, The Mission, Bio Paradise, The Untouchables, and The Professional will be performed.

Alongside Vittoriana De Amicis, other Italian musicians associated with Ennio Morricone will also perform: Rocco Zifarelli on electric guitar, Antonello Maio on piano, Giovanni Civitenga on bass guitar, and Massimo D’Agostino on drums. Rocco Zifarelli has performed with the Maestro all over the world for more than twenty years.

Symbolic date: the day after the Maestro's birthday

The date of the concert also has a special significance. Ennio Morricone was born on November 10, 1928, in Rome, and the Prague concert will take place on November 11, just one day after the anniversary of his birth.

On stage, The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra will perform together with a large choir, and the entire evening will be complemented by film projections on giant LED screens.

When Andrea Morricone stands in front of the orchestra on November 11 and the music of his father is played, two generations of one musical family, as well as people who were part of Ennio Morricone's musical world, will connect on one stage.
