In 2025, thirty members of a large family learn that they have inherited an old house that has been abandoned for years. Four of them – Seb, Abdel, Céline, and Guy – are tasked with exploring the property. However, what they discover there far exceeds their expectations. A hidden treasure, mysterious photographs, and the name of a woman, Adele, lead them on a journey back in time. They find themselves in the year 1895, in the heart of Paris, a city at the peak of industrial and cultural revolution. There unfolds the story of young Adele, who left her native Normandy and found herself at the dawn of photography and Impressionism. This touching, visually captivating film about the journey in the footsteps of their ancestors connects two epochs – the present and the end of the 19th century – and through family bonds, tells the story of how our past shapes our future.
