Jeffrey Manchester (Channing Tatum) could have been just another nameless little thief, driven to desperate acts by his dire situation. But he isn’t! And so he has a record not only in the criminal registry but also on Wikipedia. Thanks to his cleverness, he managed to break into dozens of McDonald's across the States while remaining both elusive and charming at the same time. He treated the fast food employees he robbed with unprecedented politeness. However, he did not account for one thing in his ingenious planning while hiding in a safe hideout behind the walls of a giant toy store – that he might fall in love. His fateful encounter with Leigh (Kirsten Dunst) will cause Jeffrey's double life to begin to unravel, and a thrilling game of cat and mouse begins, with his past slowly catching up to him.
“Director Derek Cianfrance has created a film that is an incredibly entertaining ride, gripping, emotional, and in its own way funny,” reveals Channing Tatum, who had to adhere to a strict workout and diet regimen to lose weight from 107 to 78 kg for the role. His character is not just a criminal who has hit rock bottom; he is vulnerable inside and out. “He is a beautiful yet unhappy soul,” says the actor. The filming was also a challenge for his acting partner Kirsten Dunst, because “making a film that is sweet but not too sweet, making something so full of life where so many things can go wrong, is the hardest thing,” adds the actress playing Leigh. The star duo is joined by Peter Dinklage, Ben Mendelsohn, LaKeith Stanfield, Juno Temple, and Uzo Aduba.
The crime comedy *Uncatchable* is full of emotions just like life itself, because that is what inspired it. It’s about a man who tries to hide from the law and from himself. About what happens when an unexpected feeling enters the world of a criminal. And last but not least, it’s about everyone who wants to escape from their own conscience. The film will be available in Czech cinemas from October 9.
