Animefest 2026: The Brno Exhibition Centre will be taken over by Asian rock stars Rolling Quartz and Ash Da Hero.

The Brno Exhibition Centre will transform into a hub of Asian pop culture from May 22 to 24 over the weekend. The 21st edition of Animefest, the largest domestic event of its kind, will this year offer a unique musical experience. The highlight of Saturday's program will be exclusive concerts by the Korean rock band Rolling Quartz and the Japanese punk rockers ASH DA HERO. In addition to musical premieres, visitors can look forward to a traditional flood of cosplay, film premieres, martial arts, a rich lecture program, and exciting competitions.

After last year's successful expansion of space with a new hall for the main program, where the first concerts took place, the organizers decided to raise the bar even higher. As part of the Animefest program, there will be two concerts on Saturday evening that promise a great experience for all music fans.

“The audience's response to last year's concerts was amazing, so this year we chose artists who appeal to fans all over the world,” adds program director Jan Horgoš.

The main attraction is the South Korean rock band Rolling Quartz, which is redefining the boundaries of rock and taking the world stage by storm. Rolling Quartz was formed in Seoul in 2019 and from the very first moment, they prove that female rock has incredible strength, talent, and energy. The band has broken the boundaries of Asia - their first EP Fighting made it to the Top 5 rock albums on the American iTunes chart, as the first Korean indie band. Their lineup is packed with talent: charismatic singer Jayoung, guitarists Iree and Hyunjung, bassist Arem, and drummer Yeongeun. They are known for their independence and musical abilities - the members are involved in production and songwriting themselves. On their very first visit to the Czech Republic, they will be stopping in Brno as part of their European tour My Turn.

The Japanese punk rock band ASH DA HERO will also deliver a great show, having chosen Brno for their first concert in Europe. The band was formed in 2021 and combines punk, rock, and hip-hop in their style. You may know the music of the four-member band from the popular sports anime Blue Lock (Judgement) or Wistoria (the latest single Believers). They will come to Brno consisting of ASH (vocals), Sato (bass), WANI (drums), and Dhalsim (DJ).
