Favorite Insectivores Weekend at Prague Zoo. Saturday and Sunday tastings of insect specialties are included in the ticket price for visitors.
Would you like crickets in garlic, locusts in banana batter, or insect skewers? Or would you prefer to watch from a distance as anteaters, meerkats, aardvarks, and ibises enjoy their invertebrate meals? The popular Insectivores Weekend at Prague Zoo offers both options, completely free of charge. The tastings on Saturday and Sunday are included in the ticket price for the Prague zoo. Additionally, people can conveniently follow the feeding schedule of insectivorous animals through the Zoo Prague mobile app. This traditional event will take place on July 19 and 20 and will also feature demonstrations of farm-raised insects, a commentary on the preparation of insect delicacies, and alongside the mentioned tastings, the option to purchase ready-made dishes. There will also be a competition station for young visitors. Insect specialties will be available for tasting at the Education Center from 10 AM to 4 PM.
