The Mánes Gallery in the center of the Czech capital will transform into a hub of innovation, design, and culture for three weeks. Three weeks. Three worlds of Mercedes-Benz.
The Czech capital will become part of a prestigious global event from May 3 to 24, 2026: the Mercedes-Benz Studio Prague will open in the Mánes gallery, a unique concept of an open-access space where modern design and art meet innovations, culture, and active leisure. Prague is the only city in Central Europe where the Studio concept will be created, joining approximately ten other world metropolises in Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia. Each city will have a unique Studio, with its content and program tailored specifically for that location. Prague welcomes the Mercedes-Benz Studio: The capital of the Czech Republic becomes one of the selected world cities hosting a unique concept that connects the world of cars with art, design, and lifestyle. Part of the celebration of 140 years of the automobile: The three-week program in the Mánes Gallery will commemorate 140 years of innovation since the invention of the first automobile and will feature a rich accompanying program for the public. The motto "Welcome Home": The public gallery will offer premieres of new models and historical exhibits, as well as workshops, sports lessons, design markets, and a Formula 1 simulator. History intertwines with the future: Among other things, the very first patented motor vehicle by Carl Benz will be on display, and shortly after its world premiere, the all-new C-Class will be presented for the first time on European soil. The idea of world Mercedes-Benz Studios arose on the occasion of this year's celebration of 140 years of innovations associated with the invention of the very first automobile. In 1886, Carl Benz filed a patent for his motor vehicle, shortly after which Gottlieb Daimler built his motor carriage. Together, these two vehicles formed the first link in a chain of innovations that influenced and developed the construction of the automobile, thereby supporting the flourishing of society as a whole. Over the past 140 years, the automobile has become not only a revolutionary means of transport but also a testament to peak technical skill and creative artistry, an artistic and personal expression, a path to achieving top sports performances, and a part of profound human stories, such as the journey of the very first female driver, Bertha Benz. The unique presentation of Mercedes-Benz Studio Prague recalls this deep legacy in an unconventional and modern way that attracts and inspires visitors to engage and explore. Mercedes-Benz Studio Prague: "Welcome Home" The slogan of the Mercedes-Benz Studio concept is "Welcome Home," which captures the unique feeling associated with sitting in any model of the Stuttgart brand. In the case of the Studio, it also invites customers into an inspiring space of an art gallery where history intertwines with modern lifestyle. Just like in other world Studios, Prague emphasizes openness and interaction. The program of Mercedes-Benz Studio Prague is divided into three weeks, each with a different focus reflecting key brand values: innovation, design, and performance. Throughout the event, a stylish café and a shop with the Mercedes-Benz collection and original accessories created specifically for the Prague Studio will be open. History and progress: "140 years of innovation," European premiere of the new C-Class, dance, and sports The first week, subtitled "140 years of innovation," will remind visitors of the fascinating journey from the very first patented car by Carl Benz to the present day. Visitors will see the "Patentwagen," one of the few fully functional replicas of the original vehicle loaned by a Czech collector, alongside absolute novelties such as the recently unveiled S-Class or the new C-Class, which will have its European premiere here. The new Mercedes-Benz CLA, European Car of the Year 2026, will also be present in both its real form as the fresh record holder for distance traveled after 10 hours of driving (the specific result will be announced during the event) and in artistic representation – as a life-size design sculpture. The cultural program will also recall the historical legacy of the Mánes Gallery. The main event will be Salsa Night, continuing the tradition of social events and balls that were previously held in the artistic spaces in the very center of Prague. Families with children can look forward to a weekend science zone focused on robotics and creative flower workshops, while the week will also feature barre exercise classes combining ballet, pilates, and yoga, as well as running courses. Celebration of design and art: "Maybach & Design" and the Lemarket fashion market The second week will focus on individualization and aesthetics under the theme "Maybach & Design." The gallery will showcase the pinnacle models of the Mercedes-Maybach SL Monogram Series, the iconic G-Class in MANUFAKTUR individualization, the modernized EQS in its Czech premiere, and the legendary sports roadster 300 SL, which is among the most sought-after historic cars globally. This week will also feature an automotive sculpture: the impressively pink CLA by Swedish modern artist Gustaf Westman will visit Prague. The aesthetic focus will also be highlighted by the spring edition of the popular Lemarket, which will bring the best of local authorship and design to the Studio. The accompanying program will include discussions on design and fashion. Exclusive super sports models and Formula 1 racing weekend: "AMG & Motorsport" The final week will be dedicated to adrenaline under the banner "AMG & Motorsport." Mánes will be filled with exceptional high-performance cars led by the Mercedes-AMG ONE hypercar and another collectible unique Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed, which is an exclusive tribute to the motorsport of the Mercedes-Benz and AMG brands. Other attractive vehicles from the current production of the Mercedes-AMG sports division will also be present, such as the driver-oriented Mercedes-AMG GT 63 coupe and the SUV Mercedes-AMG GLC 53 4MATIC+ making its Czech premiere. The motorsport of the late 1950s will be represented by the unique Mercedes-Benz 300 SLS racing car, which is known primarily among enthusiasts and experts on the brand's racing history. It achieved its successes only briefly and on racetracks across the ocean. The Mercedes-Benz 300 SLS was created for the 1957 season in two examples. Racer Paul O'Shea had access to them, and with the car, he won his third consecutive championship title in the American championship after victories with the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL "Gullwing" in 1955 and 1956. To preserve this story, the Mercedes-Benz Classic department created a perfect functional replica that corresponds to the famous original, and for the very first time, this car will also head to the Czech Republic. Fans can look forward to Formula 1 simulators and a commentary studio, where they will get a behind-the-scenes look at the queen of motorsport and the fastest sport on the planet. A special attraction will be virtual races organized by the Czechoslovak e-sport championship Mercedes-Benz Virtual GP. Everything will culminate in watching the weekend program of the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix. For all three weeks, entry to most activities for the public is completely free. Registration on the website https://mercedes-benz-studio.cz/ is necessary for capacity-limited workshops and selected events, where you will also find a detailed and continuously updated program for Mercedes-Benz Studio Prague.
