AUTUMN THAT TASTES LIKE WINE
Summer is slowly packing its bags, but that is definitely not a reason to tidy up yours. September and October are among the best months to head out of town. Tourist spots become a bit emptier, the landscape begins to change colors, and instead of sweltering swimming pools, it's time for grape harvests, young wine, autumn festivals, and trips where you no longer have to hide from the midday sun.
When autumn, then with a glass
If Czech autumn has any taste, then it is precisely wine. Moravia and Bohemia enter the harvest period and wine-growing towns, villages and the vineyards themselves come alive for several weeks. Somewhere you will find a large wine harvest with concerts and historical parades, elsewhere more intimate open cellars, tastings or sitting right at the winemaker's. And then there is burčák – a drink, for which we are willing every year to forget for a moment that we are actually drinking something that is still working.
When it is said wine harvest, most of us think of southern Moravia. Mikulov, Znojmo, Valtice or the surroundings of Pálava are autumn classics, which have their own charm. However the wine map of the Czech Republic is much more diverse. For wine experiences you can also head to Mělnicko, Litoměřicko or perhaps to the surroundings of Karlštejn. And the connection of wine with historical towns and landscape is an ideal recipe for a trip, during which you don't have to have a glass as a single point of the program.
Vineyards, cellar and a few kilometers on foot
Vineyards belong to places, which are in autumn perhaps even more beautiful than in summer. It is enough to have good shoes, a light jacket and a desire to wander a bit. You can walk the wine trails on foot, ride a bike and combine it with a visit to the cellars, local gastronomy or a tour of the sights. Just make sure to plan the event “bike– cellar” well .

In autumn, neither parents nor children have to say goodbye to the mountains. On the contrary, the Krkonošsko Mountains still offer plenty of options for shared days outdoors. HALF-CENTURY IN GRAND STYLE: PRAGUE ZOO CELEBRATES ITS 95TH ANNIVERSARY
Traditionally, on Czech Statehood Day, Zoo Prague celebrates the anniversary of its opening – this time with the number 95! For Monday, September 28, the zoo has prepared a festive program in the presence of special guests. Costumes, historical vehicles, and stylish newsboys distributing period newspapers will transport the entire garden back to the 1930s. Interested visitors can have their hairstyles done for free in the style of that era and dance to the music of a live swing band. Visitors who arrive at the celebration in themed outfits will also receive a small gift. The program will also include presentations of new attractions and the opening of an exhibition celebrating 95 years of Zoo Prague. There will be popular sea lion training sessions, as well as commented feedings and meetings with the animals that were part of the beginnings of the Prague zoo: wolves, lions, and elephants.

Three ingredients, over a hundred years of history, and many ways to mix them. Negroni is among the most famous classic cocktails, and its traditional recipe is based on gin, red vermouth, and bitter aperitif in equal parts. Throughout this week, visitors will also be able to try its various forms at the Holešovice Market, where six establishments will offer their unique interpretations of this classic. Additionally, visitors can embark on their own "Market Tour de Bar" and collect stickers for their Negroni passport while tasting.

The Tree Top Trail in the Krkonoš mountains is dedicating the entire month to seniors. They can bring one additional visitor for free with their ticket – a partner, a friend, or even a grandchild. The October event can thus be an opportunity not only for a trip into nature but also for a day spent together across generations.
