Come and see the exhibition, which will be guided by one of its curators!
The exhibition titled "Antonín Dvořák in Photographs" focuses on portraits of the composer taken during various periods of his life in different photographic studios. Attention will also be given to photographs of Antonín Dvořák with his family and the composer's friends and collaborators. The development of photography during Dvořák's lifetime and the contemporary phenomenon of stereoscopic photography, in which the composer was uniquely captured twice during his stay in America, will also be briefly presented. An interesting feature is the displayed photographs of Native Americans from Dvořák's estate. Personal items and accessories belonging to Antonín Dvořák will also be on display, such as the straw hat worn by the composer, in which he was captured in a photograph in the garden of his house in Křečovice with his wife Anna and his grandson Josef Suk.
