Two days when the circularity comes to life

Did you know that you can grow your own mushrooms from coffee grounds? That a broken hairdryer might not need to be thrown away, just some skilled hands? That your shopping is actually a voice with which you decide what kind of world you want to support? The circular economy is often perceived as a topic for experts and conferences. But in reality, it is much closer to us – it’s in our everyday decisions. In what we do with an old sweater, the leftovers from dinner, what materials we decide to use to create a new product in a company, or from whom we order office furniture. The Dokola Festival is a celebration of exactly this. A celebration of a change in thinking, a return to common sense, and the joy of innovation. Yes, the circular economy can be explained at a whiteboard, or it can be experienced. The Dokola Festival has bet on the latter – as the first festival of its kind in our country, it opens the topic of circularity to the general public, families, and companies, in a form that can be touched, tasted, and taken home. Simply experienced. During the two days, you will experience: - Workshops where you will make a piece of furniture from leftover wood, repair a broken appliance, or learn to re-sew old clothes. - Lectures and discussions on how circular Prague actually is, how we influence the world through what we buy, and why it all makes economic sense. - The talk show Let's Get Circular, where Jitka Nováčková discovers how the approach differs between a model, a mom on maternity leave, an entrepreneur, and an actress. - A fashion show made from upcycled materials, an exhibition of Czech circular solutions, a clothing swap, stand-up comedy on the topic of circularity - And much more. You will meet: Jitka Nováčková (festival ambassador and talk show host), Veronika Dušková (Vedu clothing), Soňa Klepek Jonášová (founder of INCIEN), Nataša Foltánová (founder of the Natasha brand), Pavla Antonínová (circular economy coordinator for HMP), Tady Tali (comedian and influencer), and other guests, experts, and creators from the entire circular scene. Who is it for: For anyone who is curious about what circularity looks like in practice – whether you are hearing about it for the first time or are professionally involved in it. For families, individuals, companies seeking inspiration, and people who just want to take home something they made themselves. The festival is organized by INCIEN, which is celebrating its 11th year as a leader in the topic of circularity in the Czech Republic. This first edition is its birthday gift as well as an invitation for anyone who wants to see that circularity is not boring, scientific, or a reproach.
