The film festival will offer a selection of award-winning German-language films in Prague's summer cinemas.
The eleventh summer edition of the established festival DAS FILMFEST invites you to successful films from last year's edition, but it will also open film archives. On the program is, for example, Nosferatu from 1921, the iconic film Run Lola Run, or the audience-successful bitter comedy from last year When Will Everything Finally Be the Way It Never Was.
There will also be a film adaptation of the novel Jacob the Liar by German writer Jurek Becker. The film was made in 1974 in co-production between the German Democratic Republic and Czechoslovakia, starring Vlastimil Brodský.

The current year's National Wine Competition is starting. Tomorrow, the evaluations of wines across the regions will begin.
The nomination rounds of the National Wine Competition 2025 will kick off on Tuesday, July 29, and will last until the end of August. Professional tasters will evaluate nearly three thousand samples during the series of assessments and select the best wines from individual wine sub-regions, from which the Champion of the Wine Salon of the Czech Republic for 2026 will emerge. The largest and most prestigious wine competition in the Czech Republic is organized by the Czech Wine Association with financial support from the Wine Fund and technical support from the National Wine Center.
