Harvest is the second edition of the international festival of contemporary dance, theater, and new circus arts. The festival will feature performances created specifically in the landscape of South Bohemia.

New edition

The goal is not to bring theater into nature, but to let nature become a part of the work. The works were created as part of the artistic residency program Rezi.dance in Komařice and are presented during the festival in direct dialogue with the landscape. Everything takes place under the open sky – without a stage, without a scenic background, without ecological burden. Each performance is unique – connected to a specific place and its atmosphere. The festival spans six summer weeks, offering intimate, sensorially rich experiences and the opportunity to return again – each time to a different story.

Festival visitors can look forward to the unique performance Harvesting the Wind, which was created specifically for this event under the direction of Mexican choreographer Aarón Govea. The production PNEU showcases with humor and creativity what can be made from ordinary tires. For the young audience, the ensemble Bratři v tricku arrives to prove that skiing can be done even in the midst of a hot August. The performance Vivat Messi will convince spectators that football is definitely not boring. The festival will conclude with Ponorka – a wild water ride by the group My kluci, co spolu chodíme, which will bring a grand finale with a musical surprise. The program also includes audio walks, landscape installations, and workshops. The Harvest connects contemporary art, nature, and community – with respect, care, and a vision of a sustainable future.

The museum in Kunovice has ranked among the world's elite. It has acquired an ultralight from the 1930s.

The aviation museum in Kunovice acquired a new aircraft for its collection at the end of March. It is the HM-14 machine nicknamed Pou-du-Ciel, or Heavenly Flea. "It was a kind of predecessor to today's ultralight aircraft. People built Heavenly Fleas at home in the 1930s and 1940s according to a book guide. Anyone with a bit of skill could manage it," says the museum director Martin Hrabec about it.

Hurvínek is celebrating 100 and has a gift for everyone:

In the new film adventure, the whole family is taken to Tramtárie. This year, the legendary Hurvínek turns one hundred! However, he is definitely not ready for the scrap heap, or rather, the woodpile. For his centenary, he has gifted himself a new film adventure. This time, he and Mánička will travel all the way to distant Tramtárie, where they must save not only their four-legged friend Žeryk, who is on the menu of a greedy carnivore, but also fix the broken water cycle. To uncover why a devastating drought has struck the kingdom, they need to understand how nature works. Such knowledge can be useful not only to them but also to all the little and big viewers. Therefore, accept the invitation to Hurvínek's journey to Tramtárie; tickets will be available in cinemas from April 16.
