The collection of these works will be presented in the Czech Republic for the first time.
We do not study history to be condemned to its repetition, but rather because we might learn from it how to free ourselves from the constantly repeating stereotype. The era in which we were born has influenced each of us, and some things we consider unchangeable. Sometimes we forget that history is not only driven by politics, economics, or technologies, but also by our own opinions and beliefs, but above all by civic engagement.

We know and hear from all sides that human life is sacred, unique, and has immeasurable value. However, humanity tolerates and turns a blind eye to the gross violation of the right to life being broadcast live.
Pešta expresses himself, as always, in a multimedia way, from painting and watercolor to objects, installations, videos, or assemblages that are characterized by the author’s typical existential urgency. Psychological, philosophical, and political themes are the focus of his attention. The question of the future is becoming increasingly important in his work, as technology and information have given humanity unprecedented power.
