Taste Mělnicko - a celebration of gastronomy in the heart of the Central Bohemian Region

Taste Mělnicko is a unique gastronomic project that invites visitors to explore the flavors, stories, and interesting people from the region bordered by the towns of Mělník, Kralupy nad Vltavou, Neratovice, and the Kokořínsko area. Its goal is to showcase the best of local restaurants, bistros, cafes, patisseries, and bakeries - all with an emphasis on authenticity, love for ingredients, gastronomy, and traditions. These "ingredients" together are the key to how "Mělnicko tastes."

Gastro Map and Festival of Flavors – A Gateway to Local Hospitality

Part of it will be a detailed gastro map ochutnejtemelnicko.cz recommending establishments that no visitor should miss. It will be complemented by an autumn festival of flavors, which will connect top restaurants through advantageous festival menus – an ideal opportunity to taste the best that the region offers while supporting local gastronomy.

Support for the Region – Official Patronage of Cities and Organizations

The project was created under the official patronage of the cities of Mělník, Kralupy nad Vltavou, and Neratovice, with the support of the Mělnicko-Kokořín Tourist Area, z.s. This connects not only businesses but also local government and cultural actors throughout the region.

IN THE DJA RESERVE, THE SNOW-WHITE GUERÉZY YOUNGSTER IS SEEING FOR THE FIRST TIME.

A baby mantle guereza has been born at Prague Zoo. This is the first addition of these African monkeys in the Dja Reserve pavilion. It is also the first Prague baby of the rarer Kikuyu subspecies, which the zoo has been keeping since the beginning of this year. Unlike its black-and-white parents, the baby is snow-white, a color that will only last for a few weeks. The female Lebamba is a first-time mother, but she has taken on her role well. However, it is important to remember that the baby, whose sex is still unknown, has not yet overcome the critical period. It is already on display in the main exhibition of the pavilion, which, along with the guerezas, is inhabited by a family group of lowland gorillas.

In the spring of 2026, the House of Music Hungary will open the exhibition Freddie – The Exhibition, which will comprehensively present the personal story of one of the greatest rock icons of all time for the first time in history.
