DECOLED pushes the boundaries of light: New season in the Czech Republic and abroad.

DECOLED, a Czech manufacturer of decorative and festive lighting, is entering the new season with the ambition to further expand its operations in the Czech Republic and abroad. The company, which has relied on honest craftsmanship, a family approach, and ecological solutions for over 25 years, is now among the European leaders in the industry. "It's not just about business for us; we want to revitalize and cultivate public spaces and bring joy and education through light stories," says the company's owner, Eva Poláčková.

New edition

Czech production with originality and taste

DECOLED ensures the entire process – from design through production to installation – exclusively in its own facilities. This gives it full control over quality and the necessary flexibility in implementation. Creativity is always combined with respect for the environment and sustainability: it utilizes 3D printing from recycled materials and modern technologies that reduce the ecological footprint and bring innovative solutions.

Eva Poláčková, owner of DECOLED and author of the light exhibition STORY OF LIGHTS

When borders are not an obstacle for light

Every year, DECOLED lights up 70 shopping centers and 250 to 300 cities across the republic, but increasingly it is also operating abroad – already in 13 countries in Europe and this year newly in Slovenia and Ireland. A significant direction of development is light exhibitions in castles, chateaus, and parks. This year, for example, it will be presented in Hungary, Croatia, Switzerland, and Austria, as well as in Slovakia, Germany, and France. “With our light stories, we want to enhance the atmosphere of a specific place and highlight its unique genius loci,” explains Eva Poláčková, who is also the author of the light exhibitions. “Each exhibition is based on the character of the space – whether we are telling stories about life in a castle, about Empress Sisi, or about universally appealing themes, it is always about developing a narrative. We push boundaries in terms of production methods and perception of art, the degree of interactivity, education, and of course the originality of our creations. We enter public spaces with light sensitively and cultivated – we do not want to create light smog, but to establish a dialogue with visitors.”

DECOLED's light installations sensitively underscore the atmosphere of places and allow their uniqueness to shine.

Seasonal news: Prague and Europe in the heart of light

The main project of this year's season will be the exhibition “Heart of Europe” in the Yellow Spa in Prague, which will symbolically connect European countries through light installations. The interactive trail will present significant buildings from individual European countries to illustrate how European identity has developed since its beginnings. Part of the project is also an original English song Story of Lights, sung by the singer Debbi, which will enhance the poetic atmosphere of the entire exhibition. “We want to present the light symbols of the old continent and point out the values that connect us. All hearts of Europe will meet in the heart of Europe, in Prague,” explains Eva Poláčková.

In addition to the new Prague exhibition, visitors can also experience further light exhibitions in the Czech Republic – for example, at the Špilberk Castle in Brno, which is a dominant feature of the city, or in the unique industrial area of Lower Vitkovice in Ostrava. Each exhibition is original, and they all share the effort to bring beauty, joy, and inspiration.

However, it is important to remember that the baby, whose sex is still unknown, has not yet overcome the critical period.
