You will find a festive atmosphere in Olomouc during theChristmas time literally at every step. The culturalprogram will enliven not only the historic center of the city but also the Olomouc waterfront, where markets, concerts, and every Advent Sunday, a fairy tale and workshops for children are prepared during Advent. This year, the traditional Advent cruises on the Morava River will also take place on a Christmas-decorated boat, from whose deck an extraordinary view of the city is offered.

On November 11, 2026, a special concert, the ENNIO MORRICONE ORIGINAL CELEBRATION CONCERT, will take place again at the O2 Universe, honoring the musical legacy of one of the most significant composers in film history – Ennio Morricone.

The museum in Kunovice has ranked among the world's elite. It has acquired an ultralight from the 1930s.

The aviation museum in Kunovice acquired a new aircraft for its collection at the end of March. It is the HM-14 machine nicknamed Pou-du-Ciel, or Heavenly Flea. "It was a kind of predecessor to today's ultralight aircraft. People built Heavenly Fleas at home in the 1930s and 1940s according to a book guide. Anyone with a bit of skill could manage it," says the museum director Martin Hrabec about it.
