The Beats for Love festival listens to its visitors. It will continue to be cashless!

The 11th anniversary of the largest electronic dance music festival, Beats for Love in Ostrava, continues the successful tradition of being cashless, meaning it will operate on a cashless payment system. This decision was primarily influenced by the results of an extensive survey among fans and festival attendees. What other novelties does the festival have in store for the next edition, and which leading icons of the global dance scene can fans look forward to?

„Our visitors expressed themselves absolutely clearly in the surveys. They want cashless and are grateful for this change in every way. We are glad that our general partner remains the ČSOB bank, which we can rely on for safe, convenient, and modern payment during the festival,“ states festival director Kamil Rudolf.

Indeed, greater convenience and security are the main benefits that visitors praised the most in the questionnaire. „The festival should primarily be about fun and relaxation. Therefore, we want to meet these needs with our cashless solution. Visitors can leave all cash at home and enjoy the entire festival without worries, thanks to our important collaboration with partner VISA,“ adds Martin Jarolím, a member of the ČSOB board responsible for retail.

Besides a world-class organization, a packed program, and a new design concept

The festival attracts not only with its world-class organization but especially with a rich and diverse program that will remain abundant this year as well. „We are once again expecting great shows from performers from around the world. I can already confirm the participation of British singer John Newman, for example. The world megastar Timmy Trumpet is returning to the Love stage by ČSOB, who this year ranked 5th in the prestigious DJ Mag TOP 100 DJs poll and will perform in a special hybrid set. Grammy Award-winning MC Flowdan, Belgian drum and bass producer Andromedik, popular Norwegian duo Kream, German techno project PHARA LIVE, and Swiss duo QZB will also showcase their shows,“ describes the lineup by festival program director Jiří Ramík, also known by the artistic pseudonym DJ C-Phone.

The festival also attracts its fans with an expanded accompanying program that will continue the tradition from previous years and introduce a new approach to the festival area design. The goal is for the visitor to symbolically step into another dimension upon entering the festival gate and experience the atmosphere of several fantastic worlds firsthand. „We had a little preview last year near the popular drum and bass stage. We specially lit the entire area, the so-called Molten District, with fiery lights and equipped it with burning decorations that clearly refer to the history of this place. Fire, heat, and steel are the genius loci that we want to emphasize. We are already looking forward to how we will artistically advance the entire area a step further,“ adds Rudolf.
