Boris Kráľ (*1999, Martin, Slovakia), a young author wholivesící in Czeché Republic, shone on the domesticé scene as a unique figure with his distinctive elegant style. His work is a celebration of women, módy and craftsmanship. He professes his admiration for the beautifulé epoche of the 50s and 60s of the 20th century, celebratedé in films like Breakfast at Tiffany's and embodiedé Audrey Hepburn. However, he adds a uniqueá to this ideal, contemporary esprit and style.
He studied clothing design at Tomas Bata University in Zlín and as a student, in 2019 he became the Discovery of the Year at the Czech Grand Design awards. Four years later, he won in the category of Módní designeré of the year. He is also the holder of the main prize in the Van Graaf Junior Talent competition during Pragueé Fashion Week (2019). ŠHe is a top tailor withé models based on the classicé “New Look“ by Christian Dior, who prefers to finish by hand sewing. He takes care to ensure that the dresses he creates look perfect not only from the front but also from the back. The young designer creates originalá designs most often for the red carpet. He dresses, for example, Daniela Kolářová, Hana Vagnerová, Magda Vášáryová, or Ewa Farna.
„Withý his models, he inspires women to love theiré curves, to emphasize femininity and toflaunt delicate silhouettes. His classicizing minimalism is thus actually striking, opulent, and soé immensely “chic“. Boris Kráľ uses exceptionalé structures and materials and their combinations: silkáb, velvet or mohair. Heóriginally works with colors and can compose them juicy. Jewelry is also a great inspiration for the designer, which he likes to complement hisé models with, and he applies details thaté function as his kind of jewels,“ saysá the curator of the exhibition Michaela Kádnerová.

It is another step in the way of presenting fashion within the ART DESIGN FASHION concept. Naturally, his work connects here with the models of Jan Černého,
with whom Boris has long collaborated within JAN SOCIÉTÉ. His footprint is also present in the FLOW STATE exhibition. Here, new glass dresses designed by Jan Černý for actress Aňa Geislerová will appear, which she wore on the red carpet at the Karlovy Vary festival and for whose realization Boris Kráľ collaborated,“ says the director of the Moraviané gallery Jan Press.
„At the same time, weare pleased that the spaces of the Moraviané gallery will not be leaving Lena Knappova, who, with her documentary shots from the backstage of fashion shows, continues her exhibition I’ll do my own lashes in Pražákově paláci,“ adds.

It gives me the opportunity to recap my own work and perhaps closea certain chapter, or on the contrary, gain confirmation of myé personal style,“ expresses the creator Boris Král‘.
„I am also excited about the idea of connecting myódesign with backstage photographs of Lena Knappové, with whom we have been photographing backstage for the second timeé and share very similar views on myódesign. The contrast of highly elegantmodels and clean silhouettes with a dynamic and chaotic environment “behind the scenes” reveals an uncensored and uncompromising collection of moments thaté precede everything,“ adds Kráľ.

Boris is my long-time friend, so I do not perceive this photographic collaboration merely as documentation of his work, but also as a natural support for an author whom I value both

Boris Kráľ again highlights the valuableé working and personal conversations with his girlfriend Lena Knappova, but also the collaboration with the entire team of the Moraviané gallery, especially with curator Michaela Kádnerová.
