At the exhibition, you will see a model of the Dvorecký Bridge, as well as a statue that will be on the Podolí side, along with lamps and other artifacts.
Interested parties in the development of the capital city or architecture can view an exhibition about the Dvorecký Bridge, which is being completed and will connect Prague 4 and 5, free of charge in the lobby of the Prague 4 municipal office on Antala Staška Street until the end of March this year. The exhibition features a model of the bridge, a sculpture that will be on the Podolí side, as well as lamps and other artifacts. The exhibition was prepared by Prague 4 in collaboration with the artist Krištof Kintera's team. "The Dvorecký Bridge is a structure that will significantly influence the appearance and functioning not only of Prague 4 but of the capital city as a whole, and therefore this exhibition is certainly deserved. Visitors will become acquainted with the design of the bridge and the transformation of its surroundings, and they will be able to view a number of artifacts related to its decoration," said Mayor Ondřej Kubín (ODS), who opened the exhibition. Visitors will surely be attracted by the lamps, which are elements of public lighting for the bridge and the adjacent public space. These elements are not perceived merely as functional objects but as carriers of the memory of the place, the work process, and craftsmanship experience. A model of the bridge from the architectural studio Radek Šíma is also on display, as well as a model of the sculpture Heavy Head Boy by Krištof Kintera, which will adorn the space under the bridge on the Podolí bank. The exhibition includes designs of the mentioned lamps and poles, as well as artifacts from the studio such as working models, studies, sketches, and other materials. Visualizations, animations, and accompanying audiovisual content related to the bridge project can be viewed on screens. "The chosen installation language is intentionally raw, open, and acknowledged, emphasizing construction principles and the authenticity of the materials used. The installation works with the logic of a temporary structure and with a conscious revelation of the construction as a significant element. The environment acts as a reconstruction of the studio environment, which is, after all, the place of origin for all artifacts related to the construction of the Dvorecký Bridge," said Krištof Kintera. The basic installation element consists of roof battens, which form the supporting and visual structure of the exhibition and are used in their raw state without additional surface treatments. This emphasizes their construction, working, and temporary nature. Other elements of the installation are materials originating from the studio, primarily components and fragments related to the production of lamps and lighting fixtures.
