The phone rings, and something exciting begins...

Director Gustav Möller, one of the most promising creators of the current Danish film generation, proved in his feature debut that a thrilling atmosphere requires very little. Specifically, one police officer and one emergency call. Asger Holm is on duty at the emergency hotline when a kidnapped woman calls him. The call is suddenly interrupted, and a race against time begins to save her. The film was awarded the Audience Award for Best Foreign Film at the Sundance Film Festival, among other accolades. The screening was selected by theater dramaturg Matěj Samec, who saw the film long ago, does not remember the plot, but the unique tension remained with him. "The phone rings, and something gripping begins. I was fascinated by how such functional tension can be extracted from the claustrophobic closed room, where investigators have only a phone through which they attempt to save someone's life, building on the audience's imagination. I think it is unique, bold, inspiring, and in its simplicity and unpretentiousness, magnificent. I often think of it when I'm working on something and need to confirm that the greatest drama is hidden deep inside."
