We invite you to the public event "100 Years for Birds and People," where we will celebrate the centenary of the founding of the Czech Ornithological Society together.
Come with your children, we have fun activities prepared. A rich program awaits you along with accompanying stalls where you can learn more about the activities of ČSO. At the ČSO Shop stall, we will offer selected goods from the e-shop, including bird postage stamps. Payment can be made in cash or by card. Admission to the event is free, and you can come at any time during the event. Thursday, April 16, 12:00–18:00 at Portheimka Park in Prague's Smíchov. Program: 12:00 – event opening 14:00 – live recording of the podcast Bird Talks with Dan Bárta (with questions from the audience) 14:55 – bird acrobatics by Kateřina Hošková 15:00 – press conference 15:50 – presentation of the ČSO dog unit 16:25 – bird acrobatics by Kateřina Hošková 16:30 – interview with the artist and author of the exhibition My Bird Atlas Toy_Box 17:00 – art workshop with Toy_Box. Partners of the event include the Ringing Station of the National Museum, the National Museum, the Prague 5 district, and the Portheimka Gallery. The largest electronic dance music festival in the heart of Europe is coming with the announcement of another global megastar who will perform at the 12th edition of the most anticipated electronic music event of the year. It will take place at the Dolní Vítkovice complex in Ostrava from July 1 to July 4, 2026.
The Hrady CZ Festival will enter its third decade with Mirai, Landa, and Mig 21, and will take place in Hluboká nad Vltavou for the first time.
Exclusive ninety-minute extended concerts by Daniel Landy and Mirai, as well as a new stop at Hluboká Castle over the Vltava River – these are the attractions of the 21st edition of the traveling music festival Hrady CZ. The organizers are presenting the complete music program for their eight summer stops. The Friday program will feature concerts by Rybičky 48, Mig 21, rapper Rytmus, Trautenberk, and others, while Saturday will belong to the aforementioned Mirai and Daniel Landa, Vypsaná fixa, and Harlej. The festival will kick off on Friday and Saturday, July 10 and 11, at Točník Castle, and will then resonate through seven more castles and chateaus – Kunětická hora, Švihov, the brand new Hluboká nad Vltavou, Veveří, Hradec nad Moravicí, Bouzov, and will conclude its tour on August 28 and 29 at Bezděz.
