Sleepover in the Main Building of the Museum of Prague. Yes, you read that right. A night with Andersen will take place for the first time in our museum.
Meeting You can register calmly and store your belongings in lockable lockers. And you can keep an eye on what the museum looks like after closing time. Welcome and Dinner We will greet each other and tell you what to expect. And then you can have a proper meal. Don’t eat meat or can’t have gluten? No problem. The cold buffet will also include vegan and gluten-free options. Artistic Workshop: Create Your Own Pop-Up Book Alright, this is where the real creative journey begins. Together, we will dive into the world of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales – we will meet princesses, tin soldiers, little mermaids, and ugly ducklings. Under the guidance of illustrator Eva Bartošová, author of the book "Praha pana Langweila," you will design and create your own pop-up book. There are no limits to your imagination – you will create your own fairy tale inspired by Andersen and take home an original book that no one else in the world has. AI Drawing in the Immersive Hall and Other Activities If your creativity awakens mainly in the evening, you will enjoy today. In the immersive hall, drawing and other activities await you. Evening Hygiene Brushing teeth, changing into pajamas, and preparing beds. Good Night Story We will end the night with a good night story. And it won’t be just any reading – the stories will be read to you by actors and voice artists Silvie Matičková and Jan Battěk. Snuggled in sleeping bags, you will listen to stories that gently transport you from the museum hall straight into the realm of dreams. Wake-Up Good morning! The night at the museum is behind us. Morning Stretching Before we head to breakfast, let’s stretch our bodies a bit. You can look forward to playful morning yoga that will wake up your muscles, make sleepy faces laugh, and provide energy for the new day. No drills – just pleasant stretching and a few fun movement games. Group Breakfast We will have breakfast together, and you will tell us how you enjoyed the night. What did you like? And what would you perhaps improve? We would love to hear all about it. What is good to know: We recommend the event for families with children aged 7 to 12 years. An adult must supervise the children, who is responsible for them. And stays overnight. We believe one adult can manage a maximum of four children, so please keep that in mind. We will take care of hydration, dinner, and breakfast; you can also bring something of your own. But you don’t have to. Oh, and no alcohol. That’s probably clear to you, but it has to be mentioned. What to bring: Sleeping bag, pillow, and sleeping mat. Pajamas, slippers, and possibly warmer clothing. Basic personal hygiene items. A flashlight or headlamp. After purchasing your ticket, we will contact you via email. We will send you a registration form to fill out and also ask about any allergies, dietary restrictions, or other important information so we can tailor the program and refreshments to all participants as best as possible. We are really looking forward to it!
