The Golden Cross delicacies have been part of the Prague gastro scene for over a hundred years. Since 1916, Alois Zoufalý has been attracting visitors with luxurious sandwiches featuring lobster and champagne. Later, a different era came – generations of Prague residents still remember the ham sandwich on salad, 150 grams of Russian salad with a roll, or traditional pastries. However, gradually the Golden Cross lost its luster, and when it finally closed in 2024, the media wrote about the end of an era.
