A wonderful day for the dog and the whole family.
We cordially invite you to this year's 13th edition of the unique festival PesFest. WHEN: Sunday, September 13, 2026 WHERE: Na Pankráci Park in Prague 4. Founder of PesFest: Lucie Michková, councilor of Prague 4. Event organizer: Prague 4 Municipality. Co-organizer: Animal Protection Foundation. General partner: manufacturer of pet food and treats – VAFO Praha s.r.o. and the brands Brit and Carnilove. Event moderator: Daniel Žďárský, a well-known host of (not just dog) events, dog handler, and trainer. The PesFest event has become a traditional (annual) gathering for dogs, their families, and dog lovers. The program prepared by our Animal Protection Foundation will once again be diverse, action-packed, entertaining, and educational. Thanks to it, no one will be bored! As part of the PesFest program, we will have: moderated performances and demonstrations of leisure and sports activities with dogs (dog frisbee, dog dancing, hoopers, treibball, dog puller, etc.), demonstrations of professional canine activities: training and work of rescue dogs, demonstrations of the work of detection dogs from the Czech Customs Administration, or demonstrations of the training and work of interrogation dog assistants, demonstrations of first aid for animals by PET-MEDIC veterinary rescue service, performances by experts – including František Šusta from ZAOBZOR z.s., who will showcase training techniques using positive reinforcement – with dogs and with the piglet Fešák Hubert, adoption offers for dogs from shelters, popular dog competitions, and of course, the announcement of the PesFest 2026 Favorite. A new feature of this year's PesFest: The Animal Protection Foundation, in collaboration with HAF BEZ OBAV (HAFBO), has prepared an interactive dog playground for visitors with dogs – PESFEST HAFPARK, where dogs can try out various activities like Obstacle Course, Brainy Park, Sniffer Park, Fit Park, Chill Park, and Pamper Park. PesFest is not just about celebrating the coexistence and relationship between people and dogs. PesFest is a festival with a mission to help shelters for abandoned and often abused dogs. Therefore, we are organizing a charity collection for shelters, adoption offers for dogs from shelters, and presentations of shelters participating in the PesFest event. Thanks to this event, we successfully find new homes for dogs from shelters and gather financial and material donations for the shelter animals. We greatly appreciate all your donations to our charity collection in the form of food, treats, nutritional supplements, pet supplies, and equipment (blankets, beds, collars, leashes, scratching posts, or toys, etc.) that you bring to PesFest or purchase on-site. For event visitors, we have prepared a rich, diverse, and excellent selection of refreshments (from pancakes to veggie burgers to a cocktail bar). For the little two-legged participants, there will be a children's corner and a creative workshop. Admission to the event is free. The event will take place regardless of the weather. You can experience PesFest as an experiential event for you and your family, even if you don’t have a dog (you will meet dogs at PesFest). LET'S GET TOGETHER – TOGETHER! Help us create an unforgettable day for dogs & their people and support those who need our help. Thank you! We look forward to seeing you at this year's PesFest. Follow our social media! We will gradually reveal the program, performers, exhibitors, partners, and sponsors, etc.

Housing in the spotlight: The Film and Architecture Festival presents films that inspire and warn.

Under the motto To Be or Not to Be, the 15th edition of the Film and Architecture Festival will present an extraordinary collection of films that explore housing from various angles. From Wednesday, September 30 to Monday, October 5, 2026, it will visit Prague, Brno, and more than thirty other cities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The program will highlight different visions of residents, architects, politicians, and developers regarding the shape of cities and will introduce visionaries who have challenged established concepts of architecture and housing. It will also focus on how the environment around us influences our psyche and interpersonal relationships. "This year's theme touches each of us, so we wanted to create a program that appeals to the widest possible audience. The individual films use diverse filmmaking approaches and capture not only the final appearance of buildings but also the ideas and decisions behind their creation, as well as how people actually live in them," adds festival curator Václav Ševčík.

These iconic models, which have accompanied generations of our ancestors, are currently experiencing a major revival. Here, the belief is that every visitor to the city deserves to carry a piece of fine Czech history on their wrist.
