It's here. We are celebrating the tenth anniversary! The Israeli Film Festival KOLNOA is taking place for the first time this year at the Edison FilmHub (Jeruzalémská 2, Prague 1), and on Friday, October 23rd, the world of Israeli cinema will open there for three days.
You can expect feature films that are both calm and full of emotions, documentaries that are not afraid of big themes, and short films by young creators from the Sam Spiegel Film School in Jerusalem. Hila Paz, Roni Levin, and Michael Anug will personally present their films. And because a specific language is inseparably linked to Israeli cinema, we have also prepared a taste of Hebrew for you.
In ten years, we have introduced over a hundred feature and documentary films to Czech audiences, nearly fifty student and short films, and one series. This year, we are primarily looking forward: we want to connect Czech and Israeli film school students and support the creation of joint projects. Their courage and new perspectives give meaning to the festival.
We are doing everything we can to ensure that everyone feels welcome, and we look forward to seeing all of you who come, whether you've been with us from the beginning or are just discovering Israeli cinema.
