Jan Blomqvist is not just a DJ – he is a virtuosic musician, singer, and producer who live performs his unique style of electronic tracks on stage.
From his early years with grunge, when he played guitar and drums, to adapting to the digital age in the Berlin music scene, Jan has evolved into a master of live acts and a pioneer of the "concert techno" genre. Jan played a key role in reviving singer-songwriter arrangements, real instruments, and intricate harmonies in techno and electro tracks. His influence is global – he has performed at Coachella three times, become a staple at Burning Man, and attracts masses of fans at festivals and club performances, of which he plays up to 100 a year. His performances are known for their emotional intensity and precise synchronization of sound and light, creating an almost cinematic experience. Experiencing Jan Blomqvist live is a transcendent experience; his innate ability to connect with the audience and elevate the atmosphere in the room is unique. He balances between established success and underground authenticity, remaining professional while also retaining a childlike curiosity. His voice – gentle, melancholic, yet compelling – has become a hallmark that resonates across genres and continents. In 2024, Jan fulfilled his dream of having his own music label and founded Disconnected. The label aims to bridge the gaps between deep house, melodic electro, and intelligent, non-banal dreamy vocals, connecting club and concert atmospheres. The label also serves as a platform for young innovative producers who share Blomqvist's vision of music as a means of deeper communication. The label's name is derived from Jan's latest album Disconnected, where he deeply explored the phenomenon of growing alienation: it is therefore no surprise that the first single released under his label, "Destination Lost," is a collaboration with Rodriguez Jr. and carries the same thematic message: "We long for closeness, yet we are distant. Constantly connected globally, and yet each of us is alone. We are always searching for something, but finding nothing. And while we lose moments, would you miss me?" – Jan Blomqvist & MaybeMahri After three years of solo touring, Jan reunited last year with his longtime musical partners – drummer Christian Dammann and keyboardist Felix Lehmann – and together they returned to the stage as a full band. Their live synergy brings energy and depth to electronic music, pushing the genre towards a more intense and emotional experience. Rumor has it that Jan is even working on a new album.

SHOPPING SPREE

Seven out of ten European online customers buy goods in e-shops outside their home country, with 57 percent even shopping outside of Europe. The main reasons are better prices, a wider selection, or cheaper shipping. They are increasingly making decisions based on how they can return goods if they do not like them or if they do not fit.
