We are opening a summer branch of the City Library in Prague for all lovers of fantasy, sci-fi, comics, board games, and tabletop RPGs. For everyone who enjoys creating with their hands and writing their stories, as well as for those who have a free afternoon and just want to try something out. WHERE: Pilotní oblouk 36, in the newly renovated Negrelli Viaduct, at the intersection of Sokolovská and Prvního pluku streets WHEN: from July 1st until the end of summer What will happen? TIME FOR CREATION and FREE PLAY - TUE, WED, THU - 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM Painting miniatures, working with leather and other small crafts, creating buttons, magnets, and mirrors Lending of fantasy and sci-fi literature, comics, and board games Meetings, playing less demanding board games and tabletop RPGs on-site REGULAR AND OTHER EVENTS MONDAYS 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Craft workshops for working with leather, wood, paper, and other materials TUESDAYS 6:00 PM – 9:30 PM: Focused board game playing WEDNESDAYS 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Events for aspiring writers: meetings, public readings, workshops, reality checks THURSDAYS 6:00 PM – 9:30 PM: . Even weeks - playing the social deduction game Bloody Hour (an enhanced version of the town of Palermo). A new chapter of the Czech electronic scene. The Sound Chapter will kick off at the O2 Arena with four world DJs.

The Sound Chapter wants to open a new chapter of electronic music in the Czech Republic. While EDM traditionally takes place primarily outdoors, the new concept brings a large indoor show featuring a unique lineup of world DJs. Its first edition, The Opening Chapter, will take place on November 27, 2026, at Prague's O2 Arena and will feature performances by Dimitri Vegas, KSHMR, R3HAB, and MORTEN.

From Carnegie Hall to Rudolfinum. Violin virtuoso Blake Pouliot will perform for the first time in the Czech Republic at the opening concert of the Prague Philharmonia.

The Prague Philharmonia will kick off its 33rd concert season on September 4th in the Dvořák Hall of the Rudolfinum. Under the baton of music director and chief conductor Emmanuel Villaume, the orchestra will feature Canadian violin virtuoso Blake Pouliot, who will be making his debut to the Czech audience on this occasion. The program, which connects Bohuslav Martinů, Samuel Barber, and Ludwig van Beethoven, will build on the orchestra's successful American chapter and bring its energy back to Prague.

WORLD ELEPHANT DAY AT ZOO PRAGUE

Prague Zoo will celebrate the largest land animals on the planet this Saturday. The themed program invites visitors to a guided bathing of elephants or to participate in making paper from elephant dung. In honor of the 10th anniversary of the Paper Mill, a limited edition of uniquely numbered paper will also be available for sale. The Indian elephants in Prague will not be left out either. Their keepers will surprise them with playful and tasty enrichment. On Tuesday, August 11, as part of the 20 Years Tour, they will perform at the Křižík Fountain at Prague's Exhibition Grounds, where they will offer a grand summer concert show dedicated to the music of Queen and the legacy of Freddie Mercury. This year's tour is special for the band as they celebrate 20 years of existence. Over two decades, they have performed more than 1,400 concerts in 25 countries around the world and have sold out the O2 Arena several times.
