For the first time ever, you can visit the entire collection of monuments of the Prague Jewish Town for free as part of the celebrations of the 120th anniversary of the Jewish Museum in Prague.
The Jewish Museum in Prague is celebrating 120 years since its founding this year. On the occasion of this significant anniversary, we invite you to the "Open Synagogues Day." The event will showcase synagogues not only as monuments but as a vibrant cultural space. In addition to concerts, you can look forward to a new exhibition, guided tours, concerts, and workshops dedicated to Jewish vegetarian cuisine. An interactive treasure hunt and a theater performance are prepared for young visitors. Entrance to all museum circuit sites is free all day. The event is held with the support of the Jewish Community in Prague. More detailed information about the program can be found here. The museum in Kunovice has ranked among the world's elite. It has acquired an ultralight from the 1930s.
The aviation museum in Kunovice acquired a new aircraft for its collection at the end of March. It is the HM-14 machine nicknamed Pou-du-Ciel, or Heavenly Flea. "It was a kind of predecessor to today's ultralight aircraft. People built Heavenly Fleas at home in the 1930s and 1940s according to a book guide. Anyone with a bit of skill could manage it," says the museum director Martin Hrabec about it.
