Music show ENNIO MORRICONE ORIGINAL CELEBRATION CONCERT conducted by Andrea Morricone.

On November 11, 2026, a special concert, the ENNIO MORRICONE ORIGINAL CELEBRATION CONCERT, will take place again at the O2 Universe, honoring the musical legacy of one of the most significant composers in film history – Ennio Morricone.

New edition

One evening, one stage, and famous world musicians who have stood by the legendary Maestro Morricone for years. Legendary music will come to life in Prague in a unique concert performance by a symphony orchestra and a large choir, complemented by stunning large-scale projections.

Morricone conducts Morricone

The musical evening will be led by the son of the famous composer, conductor and composer Andrea Morricone. He himself has written many film scores and actively participates in promoting his father's musical legacy. Under his baton, iconic pieces that have become an integral part of world cinema will be performed. On stage will perform the The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, a large choir, and top world soloists. The atmosphere of the concert will be further enhanced by magnificent projections on giant LED screens.

Film melodies known worldwide

During the evening, music from film legends such as Once Upon a Time in the West, Good, Bad and Ugly, For a Few Dollars More, The Mission, Bio Ráj, The Untouchables, 48 Hours in Paris, The Infiltrator, and The Professional will be heard, among many others. The melodies composed by Ennio Morricone have managed to impart extraordinary depth and strong emotional charge to film stories.

World musicians who stood alongside the Maestro himself

The atmosphere of the evening will be enhanced by the participation of top foreign musicians who have closely collaborated with the famous composer in the past. Their presence will not only add extraordinary interpretative quality to the concert but also authentic connections to the original concerts of the legendary author.

A prominent figure among them is the Italian guitarist Rocco Zifarelli, a long-time collaborator of Morricone, who performed with him for over 20 years at dozens of concerts around the world. His guitar playing has become a characteristic element of live performances of Morricone's works and remains one of the most prominent interpreters of the Maestro's musical legacy.

Alongside him will also perform the Italian soprano Vittoriana De Amicis, who regularly participated in Morricone's concert tours, and the choir conductor Stefano Cucci, who collaborated with the Maestro on several orchestral projects. The voice of the wonderful soprano Vittoriana De Amicis dazzled the Prague audience during last year's concert. On stage with her will be pianist Antonello Maio, bassist Giovanni Civitenga, and drummer Massimo D’Agostino. These musicians have repeatedly participated in concert and studio projects related to the music of Ennio Morricone.

Audiences can expect a unique musical film evening presented by the best musicians, accompanied by magnificent projections.
