On Thursday, April 30th, starting at 3:00 PM, the area of Hostivař Reservoir will transform into a place full of witches, music, fire, and a family atmosphere.
The last day of April has its fixed place in Prague – and one of the most magical is traditionally by the banks of the Hostivař Reservoir. On Thursday, April 30th, starting at 3:00 PM, the area will transform into a place full of witches, music, fire, and a family atmosphere. The Witches at Hostík event is among the largest spring events in this part of Prague and attracts thousands of visitors every year. The combination of nature, water, and evening fire creates a backdrop that is hard to replace with a city square.
A day full of programs for young and old The program starts at 3:00 PM with the opening of the area, and the afternoon will primarily belong to children. They can look forward to competitions at various stations and entertaining programs on stage. Of course, there will be traditional sausage roasting – small fires will start from 4:30 PM. The musical part of the evening will feature live concerts by the bands Hrací skříň and Živý Jukebox quartet. The highlight of the whole day will be the ceremonial lighting of the big fire at 7:15 PM, after which an impressive fire show will light up the sky above the reservoir.
The atmosphere? Exactly what one wishes for from the first truly warm evening of the year – friendly, relaxed, with a view of the water and the setting sun.
