Bohemia JazzFest has quickly become one of the largest summer jazz music festivals in Europe. The magazine Downbeat even lists it as one of the most significant cultural events in the world. The festival was founded in 2005 by acclaimed jazz guitarist Rudy Linka, who wanted to showcase and promote top-notch world jazz in the Czech Republic. Every year, the festival attracts nearly 100,000 jazz fans to historic squares across the country. At all "open-air" concerts, world-class musicians perform in magnificent medieval squares.
