Week of Unique Performances
The #5PROSTOR Festival will offer visitors a different program every day - a different band, different lighting concept, different performance location. Visitors will only find out about this on the day of the concert. "I really like the concept of #5prostor. I myself do not yet know where in the Tržnice I will perform. This will only be revealed just before the start of the whole event. I enjoy performing in unconventional places, and this specific venue promises a special experience in terms of stage design and lights. Those who have seen my show know that I give it my all. My motto is Forget about problems. Hands up and let's go," promises Tomáš Konůpka from the IKON project, who is preparing to release a new album in October this year. Fans will be able to hear his main single MUSIC live for the first time in Tržnice on August 30.
In addition to the IKON project, the #5PROSTOR festival will feature the Brno band Whyowhy with music spanning across various genres. Their album this year, blending slowcore and dream-pop, has been praised as one of the most distinctive debuts in recent years. Whyowhy will perform on the first evening instead of Marjari, who had to cancel for health reasons. On the other hand, the band Mancy Sono will bring a combination of post-rock, ambient, drone, and metal to the Holešovice Market. Also, a big attraction will be the band Island Mind, which presented their new, semi-animated video for the song Burnout in June. The song and video were created as part of the Radio Wave export competition prize - Czeching 2023, which also allowed the band to perform at the largest European showcase festival Eurosonic in the Netherlands this year. The Prague electro-pop group Viah promises a great show: "Visitors can definitely look forward to new tracks from the upcoming EP titled Saudade, which we worked on during a winter creative residency in Portugal. By the ocean, a new musical chapter opened up for us, and for the first time, Tomáš Martínek, who has been part of the band since last summer, contributed to the production. I personally am looking forward to our new permanent member Nina Sibinská, who takes care of VJing, i.e., live visuals for the music. It will be a complete audiovisual experience."
