The conference part will offer 40 debates, presentations, panels, and practical workshops with the participation of 90 leading domestic and foreign personalities from the music sphere. Among the Czech speakers will be singer Ewa Farna, producer and DJ NobodyListen, rapper Paulie Garand, or singer Annet X. From abroad, among others, will come London agent Rebecca Prochnik, multi-platinum singer and songwriter Lauren Dyson, or WiecherTroost, who is behind the program of the prestigious Amsterdam Dance Event. The evenings will be marked by the Prague Music Week Festival, during which around twenty foreign and domestic artists will perform in Prague clubs. These include Finnish rapper Käärijä, London electronic trio Ebbb, American band Keep, British punk band Rat Boy, French rapper Tracy De Sá, and young Czech bands under 25 that emerged from a public call. Tickets for the festival part of the program are on sale. This year, it is newly possible to enter the conference for a voluntary contribution. More information at www.praguemusicweek.cz.

“We want Prague Music Week to be a landmark event in the calendar of all music professionals and enthusiasts, as it will offer them inspiration, education, and new perspectives on their activities within the framework of the conference and fair. For the general public, we want to bring an event without genre boundaries in the long term, which will allow discovering music that is worth it. Simply put, we are heading towards a music festival that allows starting the evening with a classical music concert, continuing with a rock concert, and ending with electronic music. Every year we strive to gradually approach this vision, and this year I think we are making quite a big step,” describes Marek Vohralík, director of Prague Music Week.

“The PPF Foundation has long supported Czech talent and opens paths for them to the world. Prague Music Week greatly aligns with these goals. It strengthens the self-confidence of Czech culture and brings young Czech musicians into international awareness by facilitating contacts with foreign experts and promoters and helping them establish foreign collaborations. Our support will enable the organizers to consolidate the position they have built over three years, gain greater freedom and independence from the support of industry partners, and fulfill the ambition of becoming the main networking music event of the year for the Czech and Central European market,” says Jana Tomas Sedláčková, a member of the board of the PPF Foundation.
