International Accordion Days in Prague

International Accordion Days in Prague. The competitive music festival "International Accordion Days in Prague" will take place this year for the eleventh time from October 30 to November 2 in the halls of the capital city.

New edition

Co-organizers are the Czech Accordionists Association and the concert agency CTA Prague.
The opening concert will take place on Thursday, October 30th at 7 PM in the hall
of the Museum of Decorative Arts with the international participation of chamber ensembles.

On Friday, October 30th, after the first day of the junior competition, there will be a GALA
concert starting at 8 PM. The program Soprano straordinario will feature soprano Miroslava Časarová,
trumpeter Ladislav Kozderka, and accordionist Ladislav Horák.

On Saturday, November 1st, there will be competitive performances by seniors, ensembles, and orchestras, which
will conclude at 8:30 PM with the Laureates' Concert.
The competition festival, which is among the largest accordion events in the world this year, is held
in the Concert Hall of the Prague Conservatory (Dvořákovo nábř. 2), and admission is free. This year,
it will feature 230 players from 12 countries around the world. Concurrently, the 7th edition of the Czech-German Symposium for composers, conductors, and accordionists will also take place.

The festival is held under the patronage of the Mayor of the City of Prague, Bohuslav Svoboda, and the director
of the Prague Conservatory, Ivo Kahánek, with the support of the State Culture Fund, the City Districts of Prague 1
and Prague 8, the Artist's Life Foundation, the Czech Music Foundation, and OSA Partnership.
