Palladio's eighteenth birthday: a day full of fashion, music, and emotions attracted thousands of visitors.

On Saturday, October 18, 2025, a grand celebration of the eighteenth birthday took place at the Palladium shopping center in Prague's Republic Square. Throughout the day, nearly 60,000 visitors attended the program to enjoy fashion, music, competitions, and birthday surprises.

New edition

The entire day was hosted by the popular presenter Eva Decastelo, fashion inspiration was brought by the "fashion boss" Filip Vaněk, and the musical experience was provided by singer Debbi, a two-time holder of the Angel Award. The celebration also included a book signing by Zdeněk Pohlreich in connection with the release of his new book, birthday discounts in the PALLADIUM KLUB app, competitions for attractive prizes, and the ceremonial cutting of the birthday cake, which visitors could also taste.

Fashion, style, and emotions in the heart of Prague

The autumn fashion shows directed by Filip Vaněk showcased current trends and combinations available directly in the stores at the Palladium shopping center. Stylist Filip Vaněk connected humor, refined taste, energy, and practicality in his typical style, allowing fashion lovers of all ages to take home inspiration. "We are thrilled with the energy that this year's celebration had. It was clear that people really enjoyed the day – whether due to fashion, music, or the atmosphere. Eighteen years is not just a symbolic milestone for us, but also a confirmation that Palladium remains a place where people love to return not only for shopping but also for experiences," says Milan Rumler, marketing director of Palladium.

Palladium: a place of stories, style, and inspiration

Since its opening in 2007, the Palladium shopping center has become an iconic place in the historic heart of Prague. Over 40,000 people pass through it every day – in its 18 years of existence, it has welcomed more than 275 million visitors. This year, new brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Bijou Brigitte, Bath & Body Works, and Dave’s Burger have expanded the offerings, and a new children's corner, Minihood Café, has been created for families with children. Thus, the celebration of eighteen was not only a reminder of successful history but also a look into the future – Palladium confirms that it is not just a shopping center, but also a vibrant space full of stories, fashion, and emotions.

There was a great mood both on and off the stage. This was mainly ensured by presenter Eva Decastelo, who has been associated with Palladium since its opening. In a short interview after the event, she revealed what this celebration means to her.

What does it personally mean for you to celebrate Palladium's coming of age?

"I am very glad that when I was at the 'birth' of Palladium eighteen years ago, my 'child' did not forget me and invited me to the coming-of-age celebration. This must be celebrated properly!"

How do you think fashion or the environment can influence the atmosphere and mood of people?

"Fashion and the environment have influenced and will always influence people's moods. The more pleasant the space, the more beautiful the fashion, and the kinder the people, the better everyone feels in the surroundings."

What is your favorite place in Palladium and why?

"Because I can't cook at all, my favorite place in Palladium is the 'food court' – it always solves all my problems with food."

Housing in the spotlight: The Film and Architecture Festival presents films that inspire and warn.

Under the motto To Be or Not to Be, the 15th edition of the Film and Architecture Festival will present an extraordinary collection of films that explore housing from various angles. From Wednesday, September 30 to Monday, October 5, 2026, it will visit Prague, Brno, and more than thirty other cities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The program will highlight different visions of residents, architects, politicians, and developers regarding the shape of cities and will introduce visionaries who have challenged established concepts of architecture and housing. It will also focus on how the environment around us influences our psyche and interpersonal relationships. "This year's theme touches each of us, so we wanted to create a program that appeals to the widest possible audience. The individual films use diverse filmmaking approaches and capture not only the final appearance of buildings but also the ideas and decisions behind their creation, as well as how people actually live in them," adds festival curator Václav Ševčík.
