THE SOUND CHAPTER OPENS A NEW ERA OF EDM IN CZECHIA
On 27 November, Prague's O2 arena will become a hub of international electronic music. The premiere event, The Opening Chapter, launches a new series called The Sound Chapter, presenting different sides of electronic music and fresh directions in an arena format. Its first chapter belongs to festival EDM and four major names: Dimitri Vegas, KSHMR, R3HAB and MORTEN. Each brings a distinctive style, ranging from huge festival anthems and cinematic production with Eastern influences to Future Rave. Dimitri Vegas has conquered the world's largest stages and has also collaborated with Hans Zimmer. R3HAB's projects include work with Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris, while MORTEN joined David Guetta in pioneering the Future Rave sound. Future editions will feature genres such as trance and drum & bass. Bold audiovisual production and the energy of a large-scale arena show will unite every chapter.

ANDROS
What does it mean to be a man today? ANDROS explores masculinity and men's bodies in contemporary Central European art. Artists from Czechia, Germany, Austria and the Visegrád countries explore identity, social roles, vulnerability and expectations surrounding manhood. The exhibition reveals how traditional ideas of masculinity break down, transform and form anew - and asks what truly remains of them in today's society. The project is curated by Vratislav Maňák.

This Designblok event shows that good design does not age and reintroduces the creators of familiar lighting icons, including Helena Frantová, Josef Hůrka, Stanislav Indra and Štěpán Tabery.
