Legendary Czech-Slovak singer Miro Žbirka left us almost three years ago. His musical legacy lives on. With his unmistakable voice and unforgettable songs, he shaped our music scene, touched many fans from different generations, and his music continues to be discovered by others.
On September 16, 2024, the exhibition Miro Žbirka - Years and Days will be ceremonially opened at the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in London, with the participation of significant guests and Slovak musicians. The exhibition ambassadors are footballer Petr Čech, artist Míla Fürstová, and singer Karin Ann. After Prague, Bratislava, and Košice, the exhibition, which will be visited by his English fans, will also be available in the city that Meky loved.
Exclusive concerts Miro Žbirka Symphonic Night, where the music of Miro Žbirka will be heard like never before, will take place in October in Bratislava and in December in Prague. Timeless hits in a unique instrumental arrangement with Meky's band, a large orchestra, guests, and video art by David Žbirka are planned for October 24 and 25 in the large concert studio of the Slovak Radio in Bratislava.
In Prague, the concert, following the successful presentation of the Symphonic Album in 2011 and the subsequent Symphonic Tour, will take place on December 15, 2024, at O2 Universum. Songs like Balada o poľných vtáčkoch, Atlantída, Len s ňou, Múr našich lások, and Co bolí to prebolí will be performed by the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra under the baton of conductor Adrian Kokoš with exclusive guests - violin virtuoso Jaroslav Svěcený, world-renowned Slovak soprano Adriana Kučerová, cellist Terezie Kovalová, and the Children's Choir of Czech Radio.
