Brewery Trail: cycling for beer, landscapes, and stories of the Moravian Karst

South Moravia is not just a land of wine. Beer also has a long tradition in the region, and this is what the new Brewery Trail in the tourist area of Moravian Karst and its surroundings builds upon.

The approximately 53-kilometer long circuit follows existing cycling routes and less frequented roads between Boskovice and Blansko. The route connects breweries, natural attractions, viewpoints, and historical sites, offering the opportunity to explore the region from a slightly different perspective than just visiting the well-known caves.

Along the way, visitors can stop by Černá Hora, whose brewing history dates back several centuries, or taste beer from the microbrewery in Ohradě in Víska. They can also head to Boskovice with its unique collection of monuments or to Lysice with its famous castle complex. There are also views of the landscape, castles and chateaus, peaceful areas, and places suitable for relaxation.

The Brewery Trail is not a racing route for performance cyclists. It is primarily intended for recreational visitors who want to spend an active day outdoors and discover lesser-known places in the region. Thanks to the circular route, they can also shorten individual sections or combine them with other trips around the Moravian Karst and surroundings.

The project was initiated by the destination company DMO Moravian Karst and surroundings, which has long supported the development of sustainable tourism and the integration of local services, gastronomy, and active movement. The Brewery Trail thus provides a new reason to visit the region not only for nature but also for the flavors and stories of local breweries.

The project "Support for the creation of the Brewery Trail product" was co-financed by the South Moravian Region.
