Palladium – the heart of shopping and experiences in Prague

Palladium – the heart of shopping and experiences in Prague

Just a few steps from the Old Town Square and the Powder Tower stands Palladium – the largest shopping center in the historic center of Prague. It offers nearly 200 shops, restaurants, and cafes, and for visitors, it is one of the must-visit stops while wandering around Prague.

New edition

Thanks to its history and the sensitive connection between historic buildings and modern architecture, Palladium creates a unique atmosphere, making it an attractive destination for visitors from home and abroad, and turning shopping into a true experience. This is also why Palladium has repeatedly received the prestigious Superbrands award in 2023, 2024, and 2025 – a confirmation that it is a brand loved by Czechs.

A history that breathes at every step

The place where Palladium stands today has roots dating back to the 12th century. Remnants of Romanesque palaces can still be seen today – for example, in the Luxor bookstore. In the 18th century, a large military complex was established here, featuring a unique riding school where Josef Kajetán Tyl composed the Czech national anthem during his service in the army.

The current building welcomes visitors not only with stories from the past but also with modern design. The highlight of the entrance from Republic Square is a light installation by Preciosa, made up of more than 500 glass tubes, which creates an original light show at every moment.

New offerings

Palladium constantly updates its portfolio to keep pace with current trends. Recently, new brands such as Converse, Medicine, Columbia, Kara, Etam, Urban Brands, and Humanic have opened. Sweet lovers will be pleased with Prague Chocolate Steiner & Kovarik.

Established brands are also modernizing – for example, C&A, Reserved, Mango, Guess, Ecco, L'Occitane, Douglas, Kratochvílovci, and Oxalis have recently introduced new concepts.

After shopping, a rest is welcome – whether in a restaurant offering Indian, Thai, or Czech cuisine, in a Neapolitan pizzeria, or while enjoying coffee and sweet dessert. Quick snacks and specialties like fresh waffles, macarons, or trdelník are also available.

Fun for kids and peace for parents

An original children's corner with colorful houses transforms play into an adventure – children can become a veterinarian, hairdresser, or little beautician here. There is also a long slide and a ball pit for the youngest. Meanwhile, parents can enjoy a moment of peace in the adjacent café.
