PALLADIUM: A stylish stop in the heart of Prague

Prague is famous for grand monuments, hidden lanes, and cafés worth returning to. But there are also places that bring several sides of the city together: the atmosphere of the historic center, contemporary style, good coffee, fashion, beauty, and great food. One of them is PALLADIUM on Republic Square, “The crowned jewel of Prague Shopping,” just a short walk from Old Town Square, the Powder Gate, and the Municipal House.

Behind its iconic façade in the very heart of the city are almost 200 shops, restaurants and services – an ideal address for a break between sightseeing, a business meeting or an evening out. PALLADIUM is more than a shopping centre. It is an urban meeting point where you can find a new outfit, enjoy a beauty break, stop for a quick lunch or something sweet, or simply take a moment to recharge while exploring Prague.

NEW NAMES TO DISCOVER

This season has brought several notable additions. Victoria’s Secret on Level +1 brings its iconic world of lingerie, loungewear, fragrances and beauty products to central Prague. For menswear, Feratt is a new destination for suits and elegant fashion, while those looking for shoes, handbags and accessories can head to the new ALDO store on Level -1.

The beauty selection has also gained new reasons to stop by. Recent arrivals include Ksisters, specialising in Korean cosmetics, and the fragrant world of Bath & Body Works.

FLAVOURS FROM AROUND THE WORLD

When it is time for a break, take the iconic illuminated escalator up to Tasty Garden on Level +2. Here, familiar fast-food names meet flavours from around the world: Asian cuisine, running sushi, Thai dishes and Lebanese specialities, Vietnamese baguettes, Indian cuisine, Neapolitan pizza, burgers, waffles, fresh juices and ice cream.

A recent addition is Dhaba Beas, an international vegetarian and vegan restaurant and a great choice for a lighter lunch during the day.

Whether you are visiting Prague for the first time or returning for its unique atmosphere, PALLADIUM is an easy stop to add to your itinerary. Slow down for a while, have a coffee, discover a new brand, pick up something new to wear or simply enjoy the city from a different perspective – stylishly, comfortably and right in its heart.

PRACTICAL TIPS

Visitors residing outside the EU can use the Global Blue Downtown Refund Service at the Information Kiosk in PALLADIUM, allowing them to arrange their VAT refund before visiting the customs office.

Families with young children will appreciate the children’s corner on Level +2 next to Bageterie Boulevard. And if you are heading into the centre by car, PALLADIUM offers convenient 24/7 parking. Current parking availability can be checked at www.palladiumpraha.cz or in the PALLADIUM KLUB app.

The cult classic Lady on the Tracks comes to life at Fidlovačka in a new guise.

The first premiere of this year's theater season at Fidlovačka will be a new adaptation of the cult film musical "The Lady on the Tracks." The new version by Lukáš Pečenka plays with the original material and develops it with love and respect for contemporary audiences: alongside the now-classic melodies, several new songs by Petr Malásek with lyrics by Václav Kopta have been added. "The Lady on the Tracks" invites viewers on a journey (by tram) through the complex yet entertaining fate of a woman.

Some like it hot. For example, borscht.

The September menu of the restaurant TADY CHUTNÁ balances between the freshness of the last summer days and the first pronounced flavors of autumn. Fresh goat cheese, Czech balsamic vinegar, borscht with pelmeni, tuna according to Jindřich Vaňha, and pears in caramel. And if the chef David Kalina had to choose just one dish? Definitely the tuna.

Regular swapping has started at Metropolis Zličín.

In Metropolis Zličín, regular collaboration with SWAP Prague has started. Visitors can bring items they no longer use directly to the shopping center and exchange them for others. Swapping offers a simple way to give items we no longer use another chance while also taking home something that might be useful. The events will take place every first Saturday of the month from 10 AM to 6 PM, and entry is free.

Morricone conducts Morricone. Tickets for the exceptional concert in Prague are disappearing at an astonishing rate!

There are melodies where just a few initial notes can instantly conjure an entire film in front of your eyes. The music of Ennio Morricone has long transcended the boundaries of the movie screen. On November 10, it will resonate in Bratislava at the Tipos Arena, and a day later, on November 11, it will also be performed in Prague at the O2 Universe, conducted by the person who has the closest relationship to it, the orchestra led by the famous composer’s son, Andrea Morricone. Interest in this extraordinary concert is high, and tickets are disappearing from sale at a dizzying pace. The opportunity to experience immortal film melodies live, performed by top musicians who personally collaborated with the Maestro, is becoming increasingly rare.
