A new brand, Jan Becher, is entering the market. It introduces an elegant gin made from twelve herbs.

The iconic name Jan Becher, long associated with the Becherovka brand, is coming to life in a new role. The first product from the new brand is Jan Becher Gin with 12 herbs, available for tasting. In the long term, the new brand will focus on introducing quality spirits across categories. In addition to high quality, it will also appeal to customers with its story. The new brand builds on the history of the Becher family, which in the past produced and marketed a wide range of alcoholic beverages.

The Jan Becher brand draws on the era from more than a hundred years ago when the Becher family introduced a wide range of premium spirits made from local ingredients as well as carefully selected imported ingredients. Today, it continues this legacy and under the Jan Becher name, it begins to build a series of alcoholic beverages with high quality and precise processing.

The Jan Becher brand aims to consistently offer quality spirits that align with current trends at an affordable price point. “We want to give consumers the opportunity to enjoy great-tasting products of high quality anytime and anywhere under the Jan Becher brand,” describes the vision of Karin Lebedová, Brand Manager of Jan Becher.

Perfect harmony of juniper and twelve herbs

The first product under the Jan Becher brand is a gin made with 12 carefully selected herbs from Central Europe. The gin combines juniper with herbs such as wormwood, horsetail, and nettle. The complete list remains, in the spirit of the Becher family tradition, a manufacturing secret. The aroma reflects traditional juniper notes, while the flavor fully develops a harmonious combination of juniper and herbs. This results in a complex, fresh, and slightly sweet gin with floral and spicy tones.

“Our inspiration for Jan Becher Gin was the original philosophy of the Becher family – their courage to work with quality ingredients, discover new flavors, and expand the portfolio according to the needs of the time,” explains Daniel Kopecký, Marketing Manager at Maspex. “With this new product, we want to appeal to gin consumers and offer them a quality and flavor-tuned botanical gin at an attractive price,” adds Daniel Kopecký.

Where and how to enjoy Jan Becher Gin?

Thanks to its herbal and fresh character, Jan Becher Gin shines when served with quality tonic and a slice of lemon. It also works excellently in the preparation of modern cocktails such as Gin Basil Smash or KV Negroni.

The new product is aimed at both retail shelves and bars and restaurants from the outset. The recommended price is 349 CZK for 0.7 l.

Herbs are not a quick fix, but a journey. A conversation about the integrity and inner fire of the Serafin brand.

Behind every successful brand lies a story, but few are as intertwined with fate and family ties as the one written by Czech Serafin. It all began over two decades ago in a family home, over a cup of loose-leaf tea and a randomly drawn angel card. Today, Serafin is synonymous with top-quality herbal products that not only provide superficial relief but address health issues at their core.

At Váhy: a Smíchov inn where tradition truly carries weight.

There are places that a person cannot invent from a desk. They must develop slowly. Years. Decades. Sometimes even whole centuries. One such place is the Bürgerhaus U Váhy on Nádražní Street in Smíchov. A building that appears unremarkable at first glance hides within it the story of old Smíchov, family traditions, honest cuisine, and hospitality that is not often seen today. U Váhy is not just a place to go for a beer or lunch. It is a house with a memory.
