The Pivo na Náplavce festival will present 40 microbreweries this week.

Beer at Náplavka – the popular tasting festival of golden brew will take place this year on June 19 and 20 at Rašínovo nábřeží in Prague 2. Both established and newcomer breweries will participate, with 40 representatives of Czech mini and microbreweries showcasing their offerings at Rašínovo nábřeží. The festival will also feature food stalls, a beer flea market, and several concerts.

The festival will kick off on Friday, June 19, at 2 PM. On Saturday, visitors can arrive as early as 10 AM. The festival will last until 9 PM on both days. The organizers expect a large turnout. “This year marks the 14th edition of the festival. Attendees can look forward to a rich selection of microbreweries from across the country. Visitors can enjoy both regular participants and breweries that are attending the festival for the first time. There will be traditional Czech lagers as well as various top-fermented beers, which have become standard at microbreweries today. Every year, over ten thousand visitors attend the festival, and 14 thousand liters of beer will flow,” described Jiří Sedláček, the director of the Pivo na Náplavce festival.

Part of every edition of the festival includes stalls with refreshments that go well with beer. These will not be missing this year either. “With a wide range of flavors and aromas, festival visitors will be served at 25 food stalls. There will be various grilled meat delicacies, Balkan specialties, Belgian fries, burgers, guacamole, quesadillas, and tacos, sausages made from free-range pigs, topped bruschetta, artisanal pizza, and also quality coffee,” listed Jiří Sedláček.

Entry to the festival is free. The method of tasting beers remains the same for this year’s edition. Throughout all editions, beer is served in glasses, which helps the organizers reduce unnecessary waste in the form of plastic cups, and moreover, beer tastes better from glass.

The Pivo na Náplavce festival is not just about drinking beer and great gastronomy; there is also an accompanying music program. “During this year’s edition, bands such as Motovidlo, Asi20?!, Friday morning, Radio hot club Praha, Jazz underground, and Vocal sextet – za5 will perform. On Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM, there will also be a Beer flea market as part of the program, where collectors can add to their collection of labels, coasters, caps, and other beer-related items,” concluded Jiří Sedláček.
