Beats for Love fulfills dreams: The most expensive program in history and technological innovations that the Czech Republic has never experienced before.

Beats for Love fulfills dreams: The most expensive program in history and technological innovations that the Czech Republic has never experienced before.

The largest electronic music festival in the heart of Europe is starting in just a month. From July 1 to 4, the industrial area of Lower Vítkovice will once again transform into a Mecca of outdoor dance music, attracting tens of thousands of visitors from all corners of the Czech Republic and abroad to Ostrava every year. Beats for Love, which rightly ranks among the world's top music events, will feature more than 550 performers playing on a total of 18 stages. This year, in addition to the breathtaking lineup, the organizers have also revealed technological innovations that are unparalleled at Czech festivals.

New edition

Beats for Love serves the strongest line-up in its history: expect a star-studded ride from the first to the last day

This year's program is among the best and most expensive that the festival has offered its visitors in 12 years. A dream come true for many fans is, for example, the long-awaited arrival of megastar and hitmaker Calvin Harris, who only rarely travels to Europe. In addition to him, the main stage Love by ČSOB will also feature Swedish megastar Alesso, currently the most successful DJ on the planet Charlotte de Witte, the masked dance phenomenon Marshmello, and the legendary DJ Dimitri Vegas.

“This year we certainly did not spare on the program and I believe our visitors will not spare themselves while dancing and will enjoy the festival to the fullest. Basically, on all stages, except for the talent stage Tunnel by Zyn, only the best of the best will play, truly top-class performers, and it will therefore be difficult to choose which show to skip in the line-up,” added the director and founder of the festival Kamil Rudolf.

New co-organizer brings unforgettable experiences

With the new co-organizer of the festival, the statutory city of Ostrava, this year the organizers have also prepared a continuation of the popular format of performances called Beats for Love Special, where premiere or otherwise unique sets and collaborations of performers will be presented. “This year we are expecting, for example, the Czech premiere of the new audiovisual show by drum and bass star Andromedik, a special world premiere B2B performance by British bass music icons Katy B & Miss Dynamite, and other interesting things that you won't experience anywhere else,” added the program director of the festival Jiří Ramík.

“This festival, which has also achieved international significance, is held with the support of the statutory city of Ostrava. This partnership is more than appropriate. I am convinced that the backdrop of Lower Vítkovice emphasizes the specific festival atmosphere and is ideal for the format that the organizers have chosen. I am looking forward to this year's edition,” stated the mayor of Ostrava Jan Dohnal.

“The Beats for Love festival is no longer just a top-notch showcase of the best electronic music and a feast for all senses, but also an unmistakable part of Ostrava's cultural summer. Its occurrence highlights both Ostrava's position on the festival map of Europe and its status as a city of culture,” stated the deputy mayor Lucie Baránková Vilamová.

The festival is also held with the support of the Moravian-Silesian Region. “The beginning of July traditionally belongs to the rhythms that shake the entire Lower Vítkovice and Ostrava. Beats for Love is no longer just a festival, but a phenomenon that attracts electronic music fans from all over Europe. I am glad that the Moravian-Silesian Region is the place where this energy is created and grows. I believe that anyone who experiences it once will return to us even outside of festival days. I am a big fan of this festival, and I am already looking forward to it,” stated the first deputy governor of the Moravian-Silesian Region Šárka Šimoňáková.

Technological innovations: ČSOB LOVECARD music payment card and revolutionary LoveID

The festival, in partnership with general partner ČSOB bank and technological partner VISA, brings an absolute novelty - a payment card called ČSOB LOVECARD. “Not only our fans but also all other music lovers will enjoy many benefits with this debit payment card. Whether we talk about high cashback, significant discounts on Spotify subscriptions, or on entry and festival merchandise,” listed Rudolf. The card is also unique in its appearance, which will surely please all People of Love, as the festival refers to its community of loyal fans.

Another novelty is the new ticket management system, the so-called visitor account LoveID. This works as a symbolic key to the world of Beats for Love. “We developed LoveID with our technological partners to be a user-friendly visitor account where you can solve almost everything that might interest you regarding the festival,” added Rudolf. Thanks to LoveID, visitors can easily purchase or transfer tickets, thereby protecting themselves from fraudsters and fake ticket resales. In the LoveID account, a few days before the festival, visitors will find their unique QR code, thanks to which they will receive their personal festival wristband.

THE WORLD OF BEATS FOR LOVE UNIVERSE AND ACCOMPANYING PROGRAM BREAKS THE BOUNDARIES OF EVERYDAY LIFE

The design concept of Beats for Love Universe will this year offer another batch of interesting installations, performances, and unique atmospheric shows that will take place in thematically distinct zones Love Sphere, Space Sphere, Industrial Sphere, and on the boulevard Pulse. “This year we will focus a lot on light effects, lasers, and we will decorate the area with thoughtful visual impressions. Our local partner ROBE, which creates professional lighting of a world format, will also help us with this,” added Jakub Šenkeřík, a member of the production team. The symbolic revival of the ironworks, the unique Ostrava sci-fi Stonehenge, or a post-apocalyptic village with live extras will ensure unforgettable experiences right from the heart of the festival.

A complete novelty in the accompanying program is also being prepared by the festival partner RedBull. “We do not want to reveal details so as not to deprive visitors of the moment of surprise, but there will definitely be no shortage of adrenaline. We are preparing a breathtaking show with RedBull that no one has seen in the Czech Republic yet,” revealed Rudolf. RedBull will also have its zone in the area this year, which will offer a pleasant seating area along with an accompanying program.

Porsche, the new partner of the VIP zone, is preparing a beautiful chill seating area with a café that complements the atmosphere of the Love Sphere with its design. “Beats for Love is a natural partnership for Porsche due to the unmistakable atmosphere of the festival and the emphasis on an exceptional experience for visitors. As a new partner of the VIP zone, we will present the Porsche Lounge with a café inspired by the new Cayenne Electric, displayed Porsche vehicles, and festival activations reflecting the DNA of the Porsche brand,” stated Petra Klosová, Marketing & PR Manager Porsche.

Another novelty is being prepared by Vítkovice, a.s., which will offer body and soul refreshments with its oxygen therapy not only in the Industrial Sphere but also in the VIP zone, where visitors can enjoy a welcome view of the main stage during therapy. “KYSLIQ is our oxygen therapy in a new package. We bring simple and smart solutions in a practical bottle for inhaling oxygen in higher concentrations than present in the air. With our oxygen therapy, you will experience a surge of energy with a clear head, it will bring you a zest for life, boost your immunity, and help you overcome the fatigue from the festival night,” invites to therapy Kateřina Černá, creative marketer of VÍTKOVICE, a.s.

In collaboration with the brand ZYN, the organizers have also prepared support for promising talents who have big musical goals. “Our DJ Contest is very popular every year. From hundreds of applicants, our expert jury selected 46 best this year, who will have the opportunity to perform directly on one of the festival stages called Tunnel by ZYN. Come support them, we are convinced you will be surprised by the energy and commitment they will show,” added Magdaléna Pastrňáková, production manager of the festival.

Words behind the beats: the Talking Beats conference will again be full of interesting discussions

Talking Beats returns for the fourth time. The popular conference will open its doors to visitors from Thursday, July 2, to Saturday, July 4, and will offer a rich palette of discussions with DJs, producers, and other significant guests. “An interesting feature of this year's conference will be its opening, during which the festival director, Kamil Rudolf, will answer direct questions from visitors while pouring them beer Proud. People will learn live what interests them, and they might even learn how to properly pour beer. Everything will take place under the supervision of experienced bartenders from Plzeňský Prazdroj,” stated the festival's production manager, Barbora Kocubová.

BEYOND THE CLASSIC FESTIVAL: DISCOVER NEW FORMATS B4L

In addition to the winter two-day festival novelty called Beats for Love Winter, which will premiere at the beginning of December at the Brno Exhibition Centre, the organizers also plan a series of outdoor concerts called Beats for Love Experience, which will take place in the newly opened cultural area Nová Osmička in Frýdek-Místek. These dance parties will have an afternoon format, which means they will start in the afternoon and end with the onset of nighttime quiet, that is at ten o'clock. “We are thus going with the times and following trends from abroad, where these daytime parties are very popular. In the Czech Republic, this concept is still in its infancy, so we are curious to see what our People of Love will say about it,” added Rudolf. Visitors can look forward to four Experience events, all of which will be free. The only condition for participation is to have an active LoveID account. For example, the legendary drum and bass duo Hybrid Minds and British DJs Kanine, Kryder, or Because of Art will come.
