The staging is based on the work of Henri Pourrat, a friend of the Czech poet and graphic artist Bohuslav Reynek and his wife Suzanne Renaud. Pourrat was one of the few French friends with whom the Reyneks remained in contact even after 1948, when they could no longer travel freely to France. Especially for Suzanne Renaud, who was imprisoned by the communist regime in the Vysočina region without the possibility of contact with her home, Pourrat's books of folk legends, short stories, and fairy tales that he sent to Petrkov were a source of strength.
