Exhibition on the 200th anniversary of the birth of composer Bedřich Smetana and the Year of Czech Music.
The exhibition My Country commemorates the personality of Bedřich Smetana and one of his most significant works within the framework of the Year of Czech Music and the 200th anniversary of the composer's birth. Through authentic notes, correspondence, and especially scores, it presents the individual symphonic poems as the author himself conceived them, the historical context in which they were created, and the responses that accompanied them during later significant historical moments in our history. The exhibition is symbolically opened on November 5, 2024, on the day of the 142nd anniversary of the first complete performance of My Country.
