"Love, don't be crazy!" - a story that addresses not only relationships but also values - premiere on June 12th!
A crazy and colorful comedy that humorously and lightly breaks cultural stereotypes, this is the film "Love, Don't Go Crazy!" A story that sparks not only between the main characters but also between cultures, work values, and life priorities. The main roles are brilliantly played by French (not only) stand-up comedian Redouane Bougheraba and the energetic Vanessa Guide.
Redouane, an employee at a mattress factory, is waiting for his dream promotion. Instead of congratulations, he faces a cold shower – the factory is moving to India. To keep his new position, he agrees to the move and takes his partner Marguerite with him. Once there, he discovers that "everything is different" – the salary is indeed double, but in rupees, which prompts him to take action. He decides to "explain" to his local colleagues what a strike, unions, and the French style of protest are. What will come of this? An explosive comedy full of clashes, sympathies, and a touch of cultural shock.
"It's not a romantic comedy in the classic sense," explains Redouane Bougheraba. "It's a film about a couple, about the shared search for balance, about how partners support each other – and also about how sometimes we have to get lost to find ourselves again." Vanessa Guide adds: "Marguerite is a woman with her own ambitions, but she also supports her partner, who suddenly doesn't know where to go next. This story is about partnership in all its forms."
The film is directed by actor and comedian Redouane Bougheraba along with his brother Ali. The screenplay was developed in collaboration with Germain Blot and Cédric Dosne. Director Ali Bougheraba comments on the filming: "I was very demanding, almost uncompromising. As the older brother, it allowed me to push Redouane harder. We shot some scenes up to 15 times. Redouane worked very hard." And why did he cast Vanessa Guide as Marguerite? "I've heard about her talent for comedy several times. She also has a certain charm that contrasts with Redouane's more straightforward image, and their chemistry was immediate."
A factory worker who is relocated to India convinces his French girlfriend to move with him.
"Love, Don't Go Crazy!" will be in theaters from June 12.
